It's like the whole boxers vs. briefs deal from Clinton vs. Dole.

Facilitator: "Senator Dole...Boxers or briefs?"

Sen. Dole: "Depends."

NPR's Bryant Park Project tackled this bit of idiocy shortly after the article was written. Alison Stewart and the other dullard co-host babbled on and on with a degree of thoughtfulness on par with that found in a highschool prom committee meeting, which isn't really a stretch from the tone of the article.

Yes. Yes he is.

Ron Paul's really more like a typewriter. Or a quill. A bigoted quill.

John McCain is an IBM 360. Ancient, expensive, no new software, and unthinkingly runs programs he got from the last guy who worked there.

This is obvious as all get out. Mark Penn and his firm Burson-Marsteller are big Microsoft image consultants. Yes indeed. The very same guy who brought you the "Windows Vista... it's inevitable" campaign brought you the "Hillary Clinton... she's inevitable" campaign.

Whole lotta suck right there.

I think I should just go ahead and make up my mind about the November elections now, assign a back up and then turn off all media between now and then. The Stupids have completed their take over of all news reporting agencies in this Country.

Or I could brush up on my Spanish and just read news from Spain and Latin America ...

I see Obama as a computer that runs Ubuntu and has tons of room for expansion, whether RAM or extra hard drives and somehow is able to run any processor you throw at it. Oh, and two DVD burners overclocked to burn at the fastest speeds.

Clinton, however, is that old eMachines beater that your parents use when they "want to surf the intraweb" and will never give up because it worked about ten years ago and that's all that matters to them. Plus, if they got rid of it that Windows ME registration code would go to waste.

McCain? WebTV.

I think Ron Paul's the Mac in this analogy. Intensely popular with about five percent, who can't figure out why everyone else isn't on board.

It's hard to root for Macs too much when they choose Justin Long to represent them. Especially up against Hodgman.

Macs have maybe 10% market share, I'd say that that Obama has significantly more share than...

Wait a minute, why are we arguing about this? It's pointless, stupid, and encompasses all that is wrong with the way the media is currently presenting/reporting on the campaign.

ksobby 2008-04-24 04:08:22 PM
I do find it funny that the design of the sites do mimic the perceived personalities.

Hillary's is very business like and a bit dry and serious. Obama's is a soothing, cool feel and McCain? His is mostly in black and white ... 'cause he's old ;)

Equating Obama with the "cool" product and Hillary with the "uncool" product shows the NY Times as conservative.

Actually, since they're comparing Democrats, Mike Gravel might be a better crackpot hopeless longshot to compare with. Besides, Linux supports Evolution.

For Republicans, you'd probably want to use Bible translations. McCain is thus perhaps the "New King James" version.

Gore would be BEOS (still weirdly popular, despite the FAIL).
