One of the coolest thing I ever saw : The French singer M, at each of his concert, takes somebody from the crowd for a chance to play anything he wants. He's given the intrument of his choice, and M and band provides the rythmic section. When I saw that, a guy that used to play in bars got to sing his song in front of 50.000 people.

Pity he played a cover song, tho.

My bad is pretty good, i'll post a link to some of our 48-bitrate samples on our myspace page! there are also some live shots on there of a bar we played at once and we look really cool! we're an alternative christian death metal cover band, we play some Police tunes also. we think we have a gig playing Sal's Riverfront Shiathouse sometime in April ('09), we're gonna rock the house. you should come check us out we're really good, see if you can bring any chicks. hey we'll say your name from the stage, what song do you want to hear!

Wish this was open to crappy bands in the US. If we won, we would totally close our set with Roxanne.

Outstanding bands from the New Wave/punk scene of the 1970's-1980's should have the smarts to stay un-re-formed now that they're all in their 50's and haven't played a relevant note in 20 years.

And opening their "re-formed concerts" to crappy wannabe re-formed bands is just their way of saying, "yeah, we suck now but we're still better than you ever were."
