I have not liked a U2 album since Unforgettable Fire. Joshua Tree, while I respect it, was the end of U2 as I knew them. They're another band now.

While I respect your right to hate the best band ever (with deference to Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The 'Stones, and I'm sure a few other Juggernaut bands), you have to hear me out.

U2 have always been trendsetters and pioneers. They have had an extensive catalog of hits, adapted their style before the sound became popular, have an excellent marketing campaign, a devout following, with generation after generation continuing to follow a red guitar, three chords, and the truth.

They are, IMHO, the ultimate musical band up to this point in time.

Listening to AC/DC and old stuff like that doesn't make me think of how much they totally rawk out with their cocks out. It makes me think of the old guys who actually still think that. Those are the same guys who's cocks can't even get up because of their age and if they're out it's only because they're too demented to even realize their pants are unzipped. I'll take U2's "gay disco music" in heart beat over having to one more guy with more hair on his back than on his head talk about how cool they were back when he saw them and how he totally got laid after that concert.
