Wasnt he the drummer for Blondie too?

Tommy = Marky > Richie

no, you're thinking of clem burke. very briefly played with the ramones.

As Elvis Ramone, for a few fill in tour dates and as a try-out for a permanent position in the band. The boys were good friends with Clem and loved him, but thought his drumming wasn't up to pal (he reportedly had a hard time keeping up, which is odd, since Clem was a pretty good speed drummer on several Blondie tracks) and was just a crappy fit in general. He looked pretty stupid trying to fit into the Ramones character, anyway.

I saw Richie with the Ramones about 5 times. He was pretty good, but man did he just not look the part. The short blonde hair was so f*cked up looking. Regardless, it was awesome when Marky came back. Even though Tommy was the original and outstanding, I always preferred Marky. He's just such a wonderful troglodyte and his speed drumming was so effortless.

I agree with ghoulie_mask about Marky's playing, but I loved Tommy deep down in my heart. ;-) I never saw them play live, though.

I am finding myself deeply jealous...

I saw them live with Marky and CJ, and it ruled. Bad Brains opened.

Somebody Put Something in My Drink

Only decent tune of the six.

Finally got to see them at Lollapalooza '96.. It was 100 degrees in the middle of a field and they still wore the leather jackets.

He was drummer for 'To Tough to Die', one of there best albums.

I saw them with Richie a few times - and was at the last show with him out on Long Island on the "Halfway to Sanity" tour. He didn't show up the next night in Commack (LI) and the show was cancelled. He was biatching that he wasn't getting any T-Shirt money and just quit. Ritchie did 3 albums with The Ramones - Too tough to die, Animal Boy, and Halfway to Sanity. He also was the touring drummer from Subterannean Jungle because Marky was kicked out of the band before the album was released - which is why he is pasted into a window of the subway car and not with the other three on the cover shot.

/Used to follow them around NY/CT/NJ
