"Pete Wentz" sounds a lot like "George Wendt" and I've never seen the two in the same place at the same time.
Hmmmm...

He'll be your Chess King

Why not? They ruined Sesame Street years ago anyway.

Panic at the disco, submitter? A bit of a stretch there - you've been waiting a while to pull out that gem, haven't you?

Ah, but the true question is, would you like to see Pete Wentz and George Wendt in a movie eating beans?

I concur with GavinTheAlmighty, panic at the disco? You went there. You thought about it and did it anyway. And it got greenlit. We're all farked.

I like it when Farkers show their ignorance in a display of what they think is cleverness. Panic At the Disco's latest album has barely a thing to do with emo - it's a Sgt Peppers facsimile and further in debt to the Beatles than Oasis will ever be (who haven't sounded like the Beatles for 10 years).

haha ... I always stifle the urge to make George Wendt bean eating movie references when I think of him.

/would you like to take a survey?

I believe the Panic at the Disco reference is because Pete Wentz is responsible for unleashing those bags of suck upon the Earth.

Wikipedia (new window):
In order to promote their music, the band contacted Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz through LiveJournal, and sent him a link to their PureVolume site. Wentz was apparently so impressed that he took a trip to Las Vegas to meet the band in person. After seeing them practice in their garage, he asked if they would sign with his Fueled by Ramen imprint label Decaydance.

... God, how do I even know that? I'm going to go shoot myself now.

Coochdog is right. Pete signed them, so the reference appears valid. And just for Xenu's Giant Pink Replicock's comfort, I have no links approved, and thus can't be subby. Just some kid who knows too much about this.

Making fun of emo kids is as tired as the emo movement itself. They'll either kill themselves or grow out of it, move on!

I like it, too.

nitrowhip 2008-04-23 12:46:15 PM
I heard a quote somewhere that said Wentz's vanity label signing PATD is like if Stone Temple Piolets owned the rights to Pearl Jam. That said, PATD are amazing at what they do with such little experience, life or musical, and FOB has always just plain sucked.

davynelson 2008-04-23 10:56:13 PM
what's the band again
fallout boy?

jesus christ
forgettable pap crap like all thier contemporary suckalizers

no passion, invention or precision
