I would like to know what was in the CD player at the time of the accident. This sounds like a case of someone taking a private moment to live out a childhood dream of being a badass.

He'll be lucky if they don't liquidate him. After all, this is a James Bond production.

They probably accidentally mounted the oil slick machine to the FRONT of the car.

Once in a lifetime opportunities for irresponsibility like that don't come along every day, and you know you would have done the same thing.

What are the irony police decision on this FTA:

Ironically, the DBS was due to take part in filming by the lake today in a scene where Daniel Craig roars away from the scene of a fireball crash - and a truck ends up in the water.

I crashed my bike into an SUV yesterday. It was a minor accident and I bounced off the SUV with only bruises and a busted wheel. and a dent to the SUV from my helmet, hehe.

Why did this happen? Neither me nor the driver was paying attention. I don't know what the driver was thinking, but I was deep in a reverie about Firefly. Specifically, "Our Mrs. Reynolds" where Shepherd Book is telling Malcolm Reynolds about the "special hell." One minute I'm thinking about how funny that was and the next minute I'm on the pavement under my bike.

i154.photobucket.com
A . . . special hell.

Maybe the drive of the Aston Martin was similarly thinking of a funny joke, I dunno.

29 years old seems a bit young to be given that responsibility.

As an engineer, I am definitely getting a kick, etc etc

Hell, I might've done the same thing given that responsibility.

and that he once beat George Lazenby in a ham-eating contest...

I imagine that's somewhere near or above the average age of the behind-the-scenes techies on most movie sets.

I'd say career fits better than careen in this particular case.

The car looks to have held up pretty well. Looks like a good safe car, if one is inclined to run it into things. Definitely a bad career move to drive it into water, though.

True, but I think this particular monkey was employed by the Aston factory.

Not true at all. My dad just bought an AM few weeks ago, and even though I'm younger than this technician, he trusts me enough to let me drive it. Responsibility is dependent on the individual, not his/her age.

Define 'replica'. All three cars were very much real Astons, not the bitsas of Die Another Day's chase.

GratuityIncludedDoes responsibility increase as a function of age?
SvenskResponsibility is dependent on the individual, not his/her age.

Responsibility does tend to increase with age, as does a tendency to think "what could go wrong here", "Was this road designed by Italians", "What if a large bus appears around the next corner? What's my plan for that?" and last but not least "How would negative camber affect my mortality at high speed?"

The scariest part to me is the fact that $260,000 is now 130,000 pounds. Maybe we ought to have Bond investigate why that is the case these days. Then again the plots for the Bond movies all involve a global network of mysterious businessmen with heavy government contacts including the CIA...
