There was a time when I could muster enough indignation to say something when a politician did a complete about-face and kissed his former bitter rival opponent's ass.

Now I just really couldn't care less..

This is the silliest election ever.

A real human being is running for president, and all the politicians are melting down.

I am glad I lived to see the day.

There has to be a stronger way to say that. The irony is overwhelming.

Mr. Romney didn't say that Obama was an elitist because of class or wealth. He merely observed that Obama has a liberal elitist view of America. That's different.

As opposed to the conservative-billionaire, elitist view of America.

Nuance and interpretation of context is not allowed, the precedent is clearly established by the media, FOX News, and the GOP.

Objection overruled, go back to your corner.

By my count, we're not gonna need to worry about the election. Only about two signs of the Apocalypse to go and we're Audi....

I repeat....

There are such things as intellectual elitists. Please stop with this talking point. Thank you.

How dare he challenge their vocabulary and preconceived notions!!!!

How dare he make them think!!!!

Eh, Obama lost my vote during the debate the other night when he completely showed how little he understands the tax system. How with a straight face he could say he wont raise taxes on people below the $200-250k income bracket then turn right around and say he'll raise the SS Tax Cap from $97k to god knows what and also increase the capital gains tax up to 20-28% (which works inversely to payroll taxes), completely baffles me.

Back to the drawing board I go.

Romney is a two-faced politician, but what he said isn't hypocritical (unless he secretly believes the same things he denounced).

Romney's probably elitist, but he's never expressed those views, and it's unfair to infer them just because he's wealthy.

This is an important distinction, because rural, religious conservatives are some of the most elitist people on the planet. They think of themselves as morally superior to those godless city liberals, and will turn their nose at anyone who they find immoral or just different.

Yeah I did actually get that. I'd be willing to mostly attribute this to the fact that the entire first hour was dedicated to making him frustrated and pissed off, but he does still need to refine some aspects of his economic policy. Hopefully once he starts getting a cabinet together the best and the brightest from both sides of the aisle will talk him around on some of the sketchier things.

It doesn't bother me that Republicans rant about religion. It's just talk to get votes. They don't mean it.

Like when Democrats promise to "revise NAFTA."

He should have seen that coming. Before I say what I am about to say, let it be known that I don't really like any of the candidates. Prior to mid-February, he'd been given pretty much a free ride in the press because everybody considered Clinton to be a forgone conclusion. Now I think the press may be reaching a little to tear him apart a bit, and that really isn't fair. Contrary to what people think though, he really IS a politician and past associations and current associations have a big affect on how an individual candidate is viewed publically. He has to know this yet every time he gets asked a question about it, he deflects it as if he is above such trivialities. Bottom line: he isn't...and acting like he is is sort of elitist.

You forget, Mitt Romney was the son of a Carolina mill worker, who had to work two jobs, moonlighting as the governor of Michigan to make ends meet. That's a hell of a commute. I think that's the kind of guy who knows how to identify with the working class.

Obama just happens to be running for POTUS, though. He farked up. He is defining himself and making the Repub's job easy for them. He's a moran.
