Another intentionally misleading tactic. She is clearly at least as bad as I think. Probably far worse.

On the bad scale...

Thermostat set too low
No refund on your taxes
Cable/Sat TV is down
Internet is down
Wife just left you
Now Ex-Wife gets your house
Sent to jail
Killed by a falling piece of "blue ice" from a passing airliner
Sodomized by an elephant
Your mother in-law just moved into the guest bedroom

I'm thinking that Hildabest falls right under elephant sodomy. That's fairly damn bad, in my book.

Say what? A decision made by Clinton, maybe, who spent the months between Iowa and today stirring up every false issue in this entire campaign, but that Clinton and Obama decided the race would be devoid of issue distinctions? Give me a break.

Okay, I'll admit it, way back when she announced I thought she was being unfairly singled out by haters with little to back up their hate for her.

Since then it has become obvious that the haters were canaries in the coal mine and ole Hillary really is a mass of toxic looking for a place to spill. And the kicker is she's managed to convince me of what a nasty piece of work she is all by herself with her own words and actions.

Obama is the only sane choice. McCain couldn't be more out of touch with reality if he'd been soaked in LSD for six weeks with LSD intravenously administered to him while he was popping magic mushrooms. Hillary is McCain-Lite with big doses of nasty shaken in for good measure.

Given the current climate I truly fear for Obama's life if he pulls off the nomination. Some ex-Blackwater lone psycho will want to replay JFK on him while the rest of the military-industrial establishment will spread the meme that the psycho was all on his own, gee what a tragedy.

This. Which I qualify with:

What we have learned about Senator Clinton, now that she's actually had to work in EVERY STATE (she didn't see that coming!) during this campaign, in no way validates the "Vince Foster!", "Clinton Death List" propagandists and their pet loonies.

big_pth: How in the world can you run for president on the platform of "I am not as bad as you think"? WTF?!

Well, it would be kind of hard for her to run on "I'm not as bad as the other guy", which seems to have been the platform for the last several elections. That whopper would be too big for even Hillary to say it with a straight face.

\Hillary claiming she has experience being President would be like Bill claiming he has experience having menstrual cramps, and he has a much longer history to base it on.

This is true. And the fact is, there's enough evil there without inventing more. You don't have to go digging for shadowy conspiracies to find out how power-hungry she is. You just have to look at her.

EdgeRunner 2008-04-18 11:40:45 PM
Other slogans they considered...

"Hillary Clinton: Not proven to cause cancer in rats."

"Better than a sharp stick in the eye. Vote Hillary, or she'll put a sharp stick in your eye."

"She's ultimate evil. Be safer to have her on our side, don't you think?"

"Hillary 08: What the hell, the world ends in 2012 anyway."

"We're almost positive she doesn't kick puppies or eat babies, at least not when anyone's watching."

"Cruel and desperate times call for a cruel and desperate President."

"Where would you rather have her at 3am? In the White House taking important calls, or lurking just outside your door waiting for you to drop your guard?"

"Hillary for President, or she'll flood the Internet with full nude spreads."

t3knomanser 2008-04-18 11:56:10 PM
Remove all Republicans: If you fall for the right-wing conspiracy against her, they'll just move on to Obama.

There is no conspiracy against Clinton. She's a shameless powermonger. You see this as a plus, but the rest of us see it as a huge minus.

I've hated Clinton since well before this campaign season- ever since she carpetbagged my state to keep her name in politics while she waited for the end of the Bush era. She never represented NYS in the Senate; at most she would occasionally pander to NYC, since that's where the votes were.

Conspiracy! Puhleeze. Using the second most populous state as a mere stepping stone to your ambition is not the trademark of a good person, or a good leader.

Clinton can go fark herself up the ass with a pineapple.

Korovyov [TotalFark] 2008-04-18 11:58:41 PM
It's still rather odd to me how badly her campaign seems to be run, considering the contrast with her husband's campaigns. Were the latter's solely due to personal charisma (which he seems to no longer be employing...)? Has she alienated all the former campaign staff? Refusing to listen to them -- and whatever sage advice her husband might offer? Strange.

Perhaps the organization wasn't all that serious to begin with, if she truly felt it'd be an easy victory, but I would have thought that they'd at least considered the possibility of a serious primary fight and not taken it for granted.

Gyrfalcon [TotalFark] 2008-04-19 12:01:16 AM

a) The times have changed. Bill was always a bit of a liar, but you could get away with that (and with tailoring your message to different groups) easier in the 90s than today. The media news cycle is way different.

b) Hillary has zero charisma. It is painfully clear she is not a natural politician. She couldn't win an election against Hitler's dog if it wasn't for her last name and her genitals.

It'd be worth it to watch a demoralized republican party dissolve. You can't reach across the aisle and work with them because there are no redeeming qualities left worth saving. The entire ideology in republican vogue has to be scrapped. The senate race is infinitely more important than the primary - almost half of the republicans have to defend their seats and we can't do anything without 60 votes, it doesn't matter who the president is.

A message from Chuck Schumer

Earth Day is this Tuesday, and in that spirit, our mission is clear.

We need to oust Republican senators who believe that global warming is "the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people." And we desperately need to change George Bush's "wait 10 years and then take action" attitude toward global climate change.

But the fact is that the entrenched money interests who stand to profit from the failed status quo have lined up against the Democrats and given over $2 million in campaign contributions to the Senate Republicans.

While our opponents look to industries like oil and gas to stock their campaign coffers, our Democratic challengers depend on people like you. Make a contribution right away, so the DSCC can level the playing field for our candidates across the country.

Click here to make an immediate, secure contribution of $50, $75, or more. Your support is the only way we can compete against Big Oil's millions.

Democrats are doing everything they can to fight global warming in the Senate. Just last month, I, along with Sens. Cardin and Clinton took action to oppose the Bush administration's attempts to dramatically cut funding for programs designed to curb acid rain.

This Earth Day, you can make a lasting, sustainable impact too - by helping the DSCC elect an overwhelming Democratic majority in the Senate. It's the only way our country can get serious about tackling global warming.

Remember, as long as Mitch McConnell and Roadblock Republicans control enough votes, they are bound and determined to stand up for the entrenched interests and stand in the way of progress. If you want to change the failed status quo, you have to change the Senate.

Exactly my point. Hillary would rather praise John McCain and bash MoveOn.org than stand by any liberal principles.
