A street-smart, east coast rapper/producer -Guru, (hold on, don't leave me yet).. infusing the rhythmic, thought-provoking lines of a true master of the lyrical art form in Common, with the smooth sounds of Grammy award-winning, jazz keyboardist and producer, Bob James.

LIES!

I have heard of them and they're quite good. What We Must is a great cd.

Jaga Jazzist is EXCELLENT. Cinematic Orchestra is also worth checking out for electronic/jazz goodness.

Gotta Love Jazz.

The quality goes up as the recognition goes down.

You know this tune?

If yes:

It sucks!

Ever heard this before?
If no:

You are too lame to understand it anyway.

I have in fact heard of them, I've got 3 of their albums. Good stuff.

Nothing obscure, etc.

The Stix is an awesome album by them.

Thanks for the link subby! I've got a few mp3's of theirs and was glad to hear this track.

Like Cinematic Orchestra, its kind of a trip-hop fusion, don't you think?

Simply incredible music that will be a major influence on bands of all genres for years to come.

Oh, and that dude looks exactly like Hunter S. Thompson. I'm sure that it was intentional.

Oh, nice. This is off of A Livingroom Hush.

I have a little thing I do everytime I fly commercially... the track "Lithuania" off of this same album on the iPod and a can of ginger ale...so solid class...

The Ninja Tune label is all around kick ass, if you like Jaga Jazzist check out Skalpel, Bonobo, Amon Tobin, and The Cinematic Orchestra.

Okay, so which Jaga Jazzist album would you recommend for starters? A Livingroom Hush seems like a logical choice since it's their first full length record. But what is deemed their best?

What we must is an ace album

and for an indie/progressive kind of jazz sound
The Reign Of Kindo is an astounding band
