Well, do they?

Also, is this from McCain himself, or just some organization which supports him. Have we not learned from the Rev. Wright situation, that we cannot judge a canidate by his supporters?

This is just the beginning of the Republican onslaught, but at least now we're starting to see the General Election starting up. I can't wait until Hillary concedes defeat and has to start defending Obama (if she wants to keep her senate seat anyway).

That uncredited quote is drawn from an interview published Monday by conservative news site World Net Daily, whose current headlines include "District bans 'John 3:16,' promotes demonic leer" and "Lesbian demands custody of Christian mom's 6-year-old."

wtf? The McCain campaign is pulling material from World Nut Daily to attack Obama. Wow...

That was also Jebus' middle name, Jebus Hussein Christ, though most people now just use the middle initial.

You are very correct: Saddam Hussein Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti

"Hussein" was Saddam's middle name. Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti made up his last name.

Would want to be able to declare a win for islam by ridding the infidels from islamic lands and widening your control through Obama pulling the troops out... or continue to risk a backlash of mothers tired of their sons dying by McCain keeping them there?

that backlash is none existent. Palestinian mothers will continue to sacrifice their sons. Also Hamas is pretty much exclusively part of the "Israel-Palestine" conflict, not a whole lot to do with Iraq and the troops.

I swear, if Hamas released a statement that commanded Americans to have sex, 29% would become celibate just to spite them.

Has it crossed their mind that by always doing the opposite of what crazies say they want Hamas is exerting exactly as much control over them as if they believed Hamas's word were law?

So they don't directly attack us (our citizens seem to get caught in the crossfire every now and then) and get mad when we help their enemy? If we stopped supporting Israel do you think they would be a threat to us?

Spanky_McFarksalot: You'll want to turn to chaper 4 - Moving the Goalpost

I don't know that he actually did answer that question. The question was what has Hamas done against the US and in his response he cited reports where Hamas was obviously not targeting people for being American but for either being an Israeli or the Americans were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Do you really think those death examples are good examples for what Hamas has done against America?

Hamas doesn't get to decide who the United States supports and who it doesn't. And we're certainly not going to capitulate to this evil group in the hope of some sort of appeasement...

Hamas deliberately chooses civilian locations in tourist areas and attacks them with weapons of indiscriminate destruction, fully aware that more than Israelis will be killed. In fact, they count on it, since it gets a lot more coverage when foreigners are among the dead. They are not entitled to a pass for murdering those people....

I don't suggest we do that... I also am not dumb enough to think that the enemy of my friend is my friend. They haven't directly attacked us and they have only threatened us when we support their enemy, so I'm not seeing this as a huge crisis. It is very clear they are Israel's enemy, not ours.

Yes, they do, I'm not debating that, and I'm not condoning it. It's still not an attack on America. It's an attack on Israel.

Appeasement: "acquiring peace by way of concessions ór gifts (the verb 'to pay' also goes back to the Latin 'pax' = peace). Most commonly, appeasement is used for the policy of accepting the imposed conditions of an aggressor in lieu of armed resistance, usually at the sacrifice of principles."

Example: If the United States were to agree to halt support of Israel in the wake of declarations by Hamas like "America is offering political, financial and logistic cover for the Zionist occupation crimes, and it is responsible for the Beit Hanoun massacre. Therefore, the people and the nation all over the globe are required to teach the American enemy tough lessons."

and

"by supporting Israel's war crimes and massacres, you [Americans] have turned yourselves into a legitimate target for all Palestinians and Muslims."

--that would be a form of appeasement.

It kind of goes without saying that the picture is a mock up of some kind, duh! You think that's a photograph of an official statement or something? As to if he said it, did he? Do we have any actual evidence that he did? Did he say it in that context, or is that one snippet of a line? The burden of proof lies with the positive assertion, it up to someone to show he did indeed make the comment, not for anyone to show he didn't.

Doesn't surprise me Hamas would prefer Obama. I think almost every leader of every country in the world would prefer Obama (or even Clinton) to '1000 years of war and destruction' McCain. For some reason, the US has a tradition of electing leaders that piss off the rest of the world 'just because it makes us look tough'. Of course the people who vote that way likely have never left the country, but that's another story.

Who cares what Hamas wants when it comes to who we elect. It isn't like any of the 3 persons running for power will suddenly let them move into DC, occupy large lobbyist groups and gain access to the ability for us to send them money and military equipment to take land that isn't theirs. It is also very doubtful that Hamas is going to attack the US, as much as it is unlikely that Iran will attack the US on US soil.

The US is far more likely to attack them. And that's a bad idea. Which of the 3 candidates are likely to NOT go into another war/military action?
