What? Oh, THAT Weather Underground.

next week, they're going to attack him because a guy that once fixed his plumbing didn't properly file his tax returns in 1987.

I have it on good authority that once, in kindergarten, Obama rubbed a booger underneath his activity center's table and left it there until it was a shriveled, hardened husk.

no, they'd only attack him if the kid sitting next to him did that.

I'm pretty sure Obama rode the bus with wanted fugitive Whitey Bulger once. Even though Obama wasn't aware of it, I mean...come on, that degree of association SAYS SOMETHING if you want to president.

She pointed out that Obama and Ayers served on a charity board together and brought the 9-11 terrorist attacks into the mix by noting that an interview in which Ayers denied any regret for the radical group's bomb-making happened to appear on the day of the attacks.

Rudy?

I haven't heard that controversy yet. If true, that would make my blood boil. I don't like paying taxes, but do it every year. Why should Obama's plumber get a free pass?

Guilty by association, judged by who I know
Can't keep all my friends out of trouble
When they got no place to go

Me drug free in the midst of it all
Crazy farking summer hanging out with madball
People got their ass kicked, people got hurt
But I was accepted for all it was worth
Bad repuations are hard to live down
I'm not guilty for who I hang around

Sometimes I felt like an outcast, trying to talk my friends out of trouble
Tried to be a positive role model, but I got caught up in the rumble
We had ideas scribbled on walls, six years later, our destiny calls
Living our lives, some of us in bands
Touring the world, but we know where we stand
Cause when we play shows together or just hanging out
We're still the same fellas, still all tight, young till we die
And ready to fight for what's right
As I look back now on that summer vacation
I realize, I'll always be - guilty by association

I went to middle and high school with children of Weather Underground members. The same school that Michelle Obama is on the Board of Directors for. ZOMG I AM A TERRIST.

Seriously, stfu already.

/their kids were some of the more intelligent, literate people I attended with, and that actually means something at Lab.

When I hear "Weather Underground" all I can think of is George Clinton and some progressive Funk/Jazz band with Chick Korea on keyboards and some other names thrown in there.

FTA: Obama argued that if the candidates are to be held responsible for distant connections to the Weather Underground, then Clinton would fail, too. He pointed out that her husband, just before leaving the White House, commuted the sentences of two members of the group who had been convicted of violent crimes.

Touché.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this was passed on in the past because of its being insubstantial. They're really dredging at this point.

Enough to determine whether he had "actively aided Obama's political career" in any significant way. Maybe there are a couple more $200 donations, but really, do we care?

they commented on that on countdown after the debate. one of the analysts said they've known about the guy for a while, there just wasn't a story there.

Ayers and Obama both served on the board of directors of the Woods Fund, a Chicago-based charity that focuses on developing community groups to assist the poor. A variety of business executives, journalists and academics serve on the board.

Well, Obama just lost my vote. I don't want my President associating with such unsavory people and committing such nefarious acts.

Let me get this straight: we're worried that an Illinois pol has an attenuated link to a retired extremist? Ummm ... isn't it sort of a foregone conclusion that the Chicago-area donors alone would have dozens of people worse than some washed-up radical?

Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel for controversies.

I know that Obama once endorsed a canadiate that was arrested, but not convicted for murder. How long before that becomes news of some sort?

My high school band director got reprimanded and punished by the school district for "inappropriate physical contact" and "intimidation" with a student, so I guess I'm ineligible for public office because the director and I generally got along well 20 years ago.

/he got frustrated with a student during a marching rehearsal, grabbed him by the shoulders and shouted "THIS WAY!" to turn him in the right direction
//snowflake got butthurt, you know the rest
