DailyKos, in particular, is a blog. They say so themselves. NewsMax claims it gives the news, when it is really only giving spin. THAT'S the difference.

Fark off, Repubtroll

Actually, they claim to be an "online news site with a conservative perspective." That sounds like a admission of bias to me. So how exactly are they so different than the "Breaking News and Opinion" offered at the Huffington Post?

Stay classy, friend.

I've never known Huffington Post to spin things so far out of reality to be nearly unrecognizable.

And if news needs a "conservative perspective," doesn't that mean that reality really does have a liberal bias?

So now we're arguing over degree? They both spin, but Newsmax allegedly spins more, so they're the bad guys?

And if news needs a "conservative perspective," doesn't that mean that reality really does have a liberal bias?

Yes, that's exactly what it means, professor. I stand humbled by your intellect, which is not at all snide or disingenuous....

It's kinda telling. I've rarely seen anybody seriously cite Dkos or Huffington when thrying to back up an opinion. But I have seen plenty of people cite NewsMax as a reputable source and don't understand why rational people laugh at them.

To be fair, McDonalds has the better assortment of healthy choices. If you want to strictly talk burgers, I think BK wins slightly, since their burgers are flame-broiled. Of course, we could just look...

The fact that their government allows them to access any news sources outside of the country so easily is baffling to me.

What's the point of making your freedom of press non-existent in order to control people if they have almost unlimited access to foreign information? The people there are much more connected to the outside world than the Iranian government gives them credit for, methinks.

John McCain: Citizenship means service. You owe us for your freedom, citizen.

That's all A-jad. Iranian scholars (in Iran and abroad) came out saying they were embarassed that he said that, and that any semi-educated person should know better.

Also, you'd have to disregard the candelight vigil the citizens of Iran had for the victims of 9/11.

Also, is there an "official website" of the United States (I mean, other than homestarrunner.com)?

To be honest, presstv.ir isn't really that bad. I used to watch the BBC for unbiased news, but that's out the window these days. PressTV on the other hand mainly reports facts, which is odd for a media source these days.

What's with all the Dread Pirate McCain pictures popping up in the political threads? Don't you know the Internet has programmed me to blindly support the pirate? You've unfairly manipulated my vote!

/unless someone counters with pictures of Obama as a ninja. Then I'll have to go back to comparing the candidates' respective policies and platforms in an informed manner.
