Makes me mellow, even though there is some crazy chick who keeps texting me and won't leave me the fark alone.

It's way too early to be listening to the jazz, man... unless you haven't been to bed yet; then it's the best time. 'Round Midnight is one of my favourites, though. First time I've heard it About Midnight - it's nice, too.

Rev. Skarekroe: He's the loneliest monk.

Many years ago I joined the BMG music club, or Columbia House, or one of those 12 CD's for $1.99 things...anyway...when the package of discs arrived, my gf opened it and started looking through them. She turned to me and asked, "Who is The Lonliest Monk?"
She thought I had developed a taste for Gregorian chant.
She got something of an introduction to the history of jazz that day. Proud to say she is now a big fan. Still tease her about that when I run into her.

Miles also called it Round About Midnight -- Anyone calling for his jazz spurs?

...don't take that to mean that I'm an authority on the subject, though. Just Miles.

Interesting.
How very like Miles to add something that wasn't there to begin with, and very like Monk to leave something out that might have been.

Kinda like the music itself eh oui? One son plays bass, the other guitar, another keyboard, I the guitar. We have jamming sessions every family get-together in my studio. Life is good.

My uncle (RIP) played with Miles and Monk in East St. Louis, IL in the early 50's.
