Turns out The Who actually like Bush.

Or was it that they like Blair, and Blair convinced them not to rag on Bush?

Yeah.

Obama wants your young daughters to ride off to hell on suicide machines?

GoodasGold 2008-04-16 09:49:16 PM
Doesn't he have enough money? Why is it still, like "buy, buy, buy" on his website? He is no Woody Guthrie.

erewhon 2008-04-16 09:57:22 PM
Ugh. An endorsement by Springsteen taints my perception of Obama far more than Bittergate could do. Nearly as bad as one by Streisand.

markhwt 2008-04-16 10:02:12 PM
I frankly don't give a crap who Sprinsteen likes for president. Like this is any kind of big revelation thats who he would vote for.

/Mellencamp is better.
//Don't give a crap who he wants to win either.

Thanks Bruce, could you mail New Jersey back to ... I dunno ... FEBRUARY!

To win in Penn, Obama's gonna need Walken!

Bruce Springstein is a Massengill anyhow. Figures he'd be all up in a pussy like Obama.

/More government, more spending FTW!

Yeah, you'd be better off voting Republican. Theyre all about small government and less spending.

In case any of you idiots missed it, history shows that Republicans are about neither of these things, and that is the joke our good friend BudTheSpud is attempting to convey. Thank you.

I like Bruce Springsteen a lot.

Don't really care who he votes for, though.

/just got his first four albums on vinyl off eBay, great great stuff

Rather humorous joke, indeed dear friend.

Ahem, "lol."

Did you mean to respond to me? I didn't say anything about about voting Republican.

Must be a slow news day.

This pretty much seals the deal. Obama will win New Jersey in November.

Ron Paul Revere: DaSwankOne: This pretty much seals the deal. Obama will win New Jersey in November.

Not without the Bon Jovi endorsement.

We need to work on Kevin Smith (eventhough he totally turned his back on Jersey)

Good enough for me. I always thought Bruce would make a good vice president. Somebody needs to tell D*ck Cheney it's a figurehead position.

/I'm definitely bitter.

Ron Paul Revere: the old crow: Man, subby. You're pretty gay.

Thanks. The failure to get any greenlights must really burn.

I wasn't going to say anything because stealing headlines from liters is what TFers do. Happens all the time. But then you decided to be a jerk about it.

The Boss endorses Obama to be the next boss. New boss same as the old boss

Submitted at 8:30 am this morning.

Frankly, I'd rather have no greenlits than get caught bragging about one I stole.

Awesome. Suck it, haters.

I was at a John McCain rally (as a reporter) and he ended his speech with a ten minute pro-war argument, mostly rehashed from 2003. The first song to blast from the speakers after the event? "Born in the USA"

So remember, when Grandpa McCain says Obama is out of touch, remember he can't figure out the lyrics to a song that's over twenty years old.

Still waiting for the vital Jason Mewes endorsement

I_Approve_Of_This_Message 2008-04-17 12:14:18 AM
I don't know, I think the protagonist in this song might be a little, um...bitter?

Born down in a dead man's town
The first kick I took was when I hit the ground
You end up like a dog thats been beat too much
Till you spend half your life just covering up

Born in the u.s.a., I was born in the u.s.a.
I was born in the u.s.a., born in the u.s.a.

Got in a little hometown jam
So they put a rifle in my hand
Sent me off to a foreign land
To go and kill the yellow man

Born in the u.s..a....

Come back home to the refinery
Hiring man said son if it was up to me
Went down to see my v.a. man
He said son, dont you understand

I had a brother at khe sahn
Fighting off the viet cong
Theyre still there, hes all gone

He had a woman he loved in saigon
I got a picture of him in her arms now

Down in the shadow of the penitentiary
Out by the gas fires of the refinery
Im ten years burning down the road
Nowhere to run aint got nowhere to go

Born in the u.s.a., I was born in the u.s.a.
Born in the u.s.a., Im a long gone daddy in the u.s.a.
Born in the u.s.a., born in the u.s.a.
Born in the u.s.a., Im a cool rocking daddy in the u.s.a.

Or maybe he knows most people can't figure out the lyrics? Or don't care about the lyrics other than BORN IN THE USA!!!

Anyway, why can't you figure out that presidential candidates have staffers who tend to details like what music to play after an appearance?

This story made me dizzy with anticipation of the next 'star' endorsement. I wait with baited breath for my favorite actor/singer/dried up porn star to tell me how to live my life.

Because I really care who some old musician endorses because of his extensive political knowledge.

Springsteen obviously thought Obama was Born To Run.

Obama is currently campaigning on the Streets of Philadelphia, bringing a more Human Touch to a campaign that will bring Glory Days to our country. Especially since the current administration Trapped us in the Badlands, and had us Dancing In The Dark, screaming, "Cover Me." Now, everybody's got a Hungry Heart for hope and change.

Carmela, Meadow, Tony Jr., a little something on the side, and, obviously, the blonde on his lap.
