Did he seek them out because they've been irrelevant for a shorter amount of time?

FTA: "This is one of those songs that can't be described better than touching the souls of the common people," Rhymes said.

Oh, give me a break. Someone has an elevated opinion of his work.

I prefer the term 'Mall-core'. The word 'Metal' does NOT belong in 'Nu-Metal'.

Busta Rhymes is a very good MC, so take it easy on him. He was doing his thing when mainstream hip-hop was still a thriving artform and before the fake gangstas and the minstrel-like "rappers" and their lame pop dance songs (I'm lookin at you Soulja Boy) took over the genre. Redman said it best in a recent interview, back in the 90s hip-hop was 2/3 culture and 1/3 business, while these days it's the other way around. Nothing wrong with making your money, but at least try to have some heart and soul in your craft.

I thought Linkin Park dropped the rap/nu-metal last year in favor of imitating art-rock/britrock.

His LONS stuff and first two solo albums were pretty good. With the third solo, things started to get bad....and worse....

ELE was the last one I could stomach. After that it his stuff melded into the popular shiat and got lost.

Linkin Park's songs are fun to scream along to.

He was just a Guest on a TCQ album.
This is TCQ:
* Jonathan (Kamaal Ibn John Fareed) "Q-Tip" Davis - producer, vocals
* Malik "Phife Dawg" Taylor - vocals
* Ali Shaheed Muhammad - arranger, producer, mixing DJ
* Jarobi White

Linkin Park has better production chops and connection to Hip-Hop than you might think. On Re-animation they work with the Executioners, Motion Man, Kutmasta Kurt, Black Thought from the Roots and many others.
They do production better than their typical music, don't be surprised if this is Busta's return to relevancy.

It's no stranger than his collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne.
Iron Man (pops)

Shady02: * Jarobi White

I notice your lack of work-attribution to Jarobi. I mean, aside from getting mentioned on Midnight Marauders WTF did he do for the group?!

Shady02: He was just a Guest on a TCQ album.

And I think you missed the spirit of the statement. "rawwr! Rawwr! Like a dungeon Dragon!"- I mean, he could drop a nerd-thing like that into a rhyme and STILL get the girls! He was truly a leader of the new; "Whooo ha!" is not only an oft-imitated song, but the video style (excessive usage of the fish-eye lens) pretty much set the stage for everyone that came after wards.

Then he shaved his dreads... *sigh*

/Saw Busta along with Wyclef. He was still dope back then.
//Opening act was some whac R&B group... Destinys Child, or something like that? They sucked.

I am aware he was just a guest, hence me citing the song he was on.

Thanks for the lesson Mr. I Love Linkin Park.

Just kidding, but seriously, I dont need a Tribe lesson, I'm well aware of their oeuvre, if you will.
