I remember one time i had this fat fark friend and our whole class took a trip to a city, stop and ate at Denny's.

This. My mom's family moved to [Flordia] from Indiana in 1976... since my mom was raised putting ketchup on everything she did it for my brother and I when we were growing up. Now I dont want a lot of stuff if I don't have ketchup.

I think this is a good time to ask if anyone puts ketchup on their scrambled eggs? I just grew up doing it never really thinking anything of it until I was at an IHOP with some friends and they couldnt eat because my eggs looked like aborted fetus' according to them. I can't eat them without ketchup.

I'm from Missouri and we did this with ketchup as well.

Then I got older, and started putting salsa on the eggs. And hot sauce. Still regular ol' ketchup for the hash browns though.

Look for the organic stuff. It's a bit more expensive, but then you have to pay a premium to get food without HFCS. Which seems weird because corn-containing products are getting more expensive.

Lord I love ketchup on mac n cheese, especially when the mac n cheese is a little dried out and chewy. Mmm hot chewy mac n cheese and cool ketchup.

While searching for a snack in a vending machine the other day, I saw the ultimate horror. A bag with a Burger King logo on it. Potato strips. Ketchup and french fry flavored.

I saw a "How It's Made" episode about Heinz once and was completely floored that they put more salt, less sugar in ketchup being sent to the U.S. and more sugar, less salt in ketchup for Canada. I can't believe there's enough of a difference in taste between the two countries to justify that expense, but obviously their marketing says otherwise.

In summary, ketchup is a weird business.

Make your own ketchup. It's easy and tasty! And better for you..
