Well...pretty much. Why would anyone want this? Can you imagine having to see her every day on the news, listening to hear speak every freaking day?

Dufus [TotalFark] 2008-04-13 01:05:57 PM
Psycotic, Mean-spirited, Short-sighted

And then it will get bad.

arkansas [TotalFark] 2008-04-13 01:06:38 PM
You people are lucky....I've been dealing with Clinton psychodrama since around 1976. Can we just be done with Clintons and Bushes? Ted Kennedy is even starting to look good to me now.

DarthBrooks [TotalFark] 2008-04-13 01:08:35 PM
She's the political equivalent of an ice cream headache.

P.J. O'Rourke nailed it: Hillary is "America's ex-wife."

CarolynLibrarian 2008-04-13 01:09:57 PM
Eaxctly. Why would we want that circus back in town? And the Clinton years were indeed a circus - kind of like watching a slo-mo version of the Britney Spears meltdown. It makes for good entertainment, yes - but the Presidency isn't about entertainment.

baka-san [TotalFark] 2008-04-13 01:12:57 PM
So exactly the same as the current one

I'm guessing 'mauve'.

Considering his life after Watergate, he ought to know

Av8rLuvr: Then how do you explain Bush?

That's more like a train wreck than circus. It's not entertaining, but you just can't... look... away...

On the plus side, she'd be so divisive that she'd never be able to get anything done.

Gridlock. Is. Good.

Definitely, this. Criticize Clinton all you want, but then how do you reconcile it with the tardtacular adventures of the White House over the last 7 years? It's been a healthy mix of befuddled amusement and cringe-worthy pain. Seeing this guy in action is like watching a monkey try to fark a cactus.

Does this election season seem to anyone else like a badly scripted West Wing wannabe show on the CW?

If you tried passing off Hillary's actions in this campaign season as a West Wing script, the producer would reject the script as being too fantastical to believe.

BobtheFascist 2008-04-13 02:04:21 PM
I believe that's going to be the outcome regardless of who makes it to the oval office.

I dunno. I don't get the 'must destroy everything' vibe from Obama. He seems more like an true believer (in socialism mind you, but at least he's honest about it). Hillary seems more like...well, the best descripting I can think of is 'biting on tinfoil'. She's got that kind of edge to her personality. Amoral, ruthless and not particularly bright.

As for McCain, he seems like he'd be ok as President just so long as he gets in a good nap after lunch and isn't up past 10pm.

Control_this [TotalFark] 2008-04-13 02:16:41 PM
Fark him and Fark Bob Woodward too. I can't trust either of them any more.

They can both go to hell for their Iraq reporting.

I keep seeing McCain's advisers telling him about economic difficulties and him responding "Bah! Piffle!".

If McCain makes it, his handlers better keep recording devices well away from him because I bet he is prone to rants that make Nixon look like a choirboy.

ScubaDude1960 [TotalFark] 2008-04-13 02:30:42 PM
I'm sure a Hillary presidency would involve higher taxes, more restrictive laws, fewer freedoms, perpetual war, and a constant stream of lies coming out of the White House. In other words, it would look just like the Bush presidency.

Control_this [TotalFark] 2008-04-13 02:38:25 PM

Nah. There's no psychodrama now. Bush doesn't give a shiat.

Look, all I know for certain is that no matter WHO gets elected my taxes are going to go up. The patriot act isn't going to be repealed. RIAA will still bankrupt college kids for listening to music. Jobs will still bleed out of the country to China. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan will continue. And posessing cannabis will get you jail time.

The rest is just minor changes in detail.

Potentially not so much, if the judge in Maine agrees with the defense's motion for an injunction barring the RIAA from continuing their invasive discovery practices.

/who am I kidding? Congress will grant them an exemption

Thye aren't even 10% the same.

Policy stances are not, by any stretch of the imagination, 100% of a presidency (much less policy stances in the primary, when youare just trying to grab democrat votes).

"...perpetual, incompetent psychodrama."

And that's just just the GOP reaction. The Right Wing Talking Heads will be having puppies.

Except for Ann Coulter. Her hips aren't wide enough to push out a puppy.

Wil_Mahfingahdo 2008-04-13 03:44:57 PM
Hillary (R-NY) shows day after day that America is not her priority. She wants to be President, and shes gonna crush anyone that gets in her way. Obama is a great man being smeared by an evil biatch. If she does manage to steal the nomination Republicans will win in a landslide.

That's only because they're going to suddenly realize that unchecked executive power is a bad thing.

It looks remarkably like the last couple seasons of the West Wing, actually. Which isn't all that surprising, as I understand that Matt Santos was based primarily on Obama.

The Patriot Act will be repealed or changed.Democratic party doesn't like it And the Republican party will not WANT their enemies to have that power. See the Sedation and Alien act for historical precedent.

We'll have to see about the others. Iraq will end within the next four years...Afghanistan will take a bit longer. They may legalize Mary Jane a lot sooner than you think.

Darth_Lukecash [TotalFark] 2008-04-13 03:47:45 PM

The definition of socialism, like communism and capitalism, is now mutable, changeable, often withing the same sentence.

All you need to know is that socialism is bad, and any definition you look up that disagrees with that is simply wrong or outdated. Same with socialism. Capitalism is good, no matter what evidence you find to the contrary.

But in reality, America is socialist, it has been for years, it will continue to be, because most Americans want some controls on capitalism. As did the Founding Fathers, Adam Smith, etc.

I said this before... they're all going to screw us. The difference with Obama is that he may use vasaline, lower the lights, put some Barry White on and maybe talk to me after. The other 2 will just pound away until my screams of submission fade into the background noise of the thumping against the wall as they smile, indifferent to my agony.

Ha! Made me lol, thinking about LBJ's recorded phone conversation regarding his pants, and, erm, his junk.

No wishing, doing. I plan to keep voting the bastards and biatches out if I have to.

And the fact the Patriot Act is very unpopular among Americans.
