Florida used to be considered a swing state, so the large Cuban expat community got together and convinced our govt to treat their excountrymen differently. For this they shift their vote to whomever is toughest on Castro, if any of the major candidates comes out for ending wetfoot/dryfoot they would most likely loose 10% of the Fla vote.

I see wetfoot/dryfoot ending in 10 years. Fla is moving away from swing state status, so the political pull of the cuban expats will be greatly minimized. That and comunism in Cuber might just die off by then.

Well, it's clear that they dont' have teh interwebs down there. IF they did, and they had been reading Fark for the last few years, they'd know what kind of eeeevilll country full of corporate dictators that screw victims in this vast police state of AmeriKKKA we have here. They never would want to leave a the workers paradise of Cuba where healthcare is free, the rich don't exist and everyone can read.

I'm really supprised that there are not more Farkers waving at escaping Cubans as they float by on their way TO Cuba, so that they could partake of the glorious state of Cuba.

I've seen Americans float in boats and rafts to Cuba to get away from the United States, but this starting to reverse itself. Now it's the Cubans floating to the United States.
