They want them to pay for the work that people had to do, that they were going to get payed to do, prank or not?

TacticTen 2008-04-11 02:57:02 AM
I suppose it took away from the other work they would have done, but they didn't work more hours than they would have otherwise.

Unfortunately, catering to pissed off morons is about as close to the concept of 'work' as politicians ever get.

Man if I ran that radio station I'd just give in and pay them or the next thing you know Arpaio is gonna be rolling through there in a SWAT tank throwing out molotov cocktails.

That article was a piece of crap. They had to run it through the Spanish translator one too many times...

Dozens of calls? Wow, I guess my family should be reimbursed for the dozens of calls we've received in the last year after the business that used to have our phone # closed.

Napolitano and her staff knew the prank was going to happen, but said they didn't know ADOT was taking part.

The governor's office is upset, saying the joke caused tons of confusion, with staffers having to answer dozens of phone calls from angry voters. Her chief of staff says KTAR should be billed for the cost of having to deal with the joke.

ADOT apologized to the Governor's office for their part in the joke.

Gov. Janet Napolitano and her staff knew the prank was going to happen, but said they didn't know ADOT was taking part.

wow, proofreading FTW.

FTFA:
"I think they should get the brightest accountants in state government together. I think they should draw up how much time was wasted and send a bill to KTAR and we will pay it, if the governor's office and the Republicans and everyone else in state government will agree to allow KTAR listeners to come up with a bill - a list of things - we think that state government's wasting time on," Hill said.

I like this guy. I doubt the Governor's Office is gonna go for that though...

Yes, we need to compensate them for their confusion immediately. Nobody should have to be confused this just isn't right. Do you know who isn't confused? The Corporations and Oil Companies aren't confused that's who.

I think our next president needs to do something about the confused in this country -- maybe something like Universal Unconfuseion -- Everyone has to participate for this to work.

We should tax those who are less confused and compensate the confused with incentives to be less confused. This way we won't have separate classes of confusion in our society.

Arizona Republicans are humorless racists. This article proves it.

Napolitano is a democrat.

The state isn't as red as it used to be, fyi.

It is, however, increasing in numbers where the stupid reactionaries of both parties are concerned.

Haha, Glendale is fun, isn't it?

Hooray urban sprawl and suburbia!

I'm about to drive down to Tempe from Glendale, so I'm getting a kick out of your reply.

As far as republicans being humorless racists, I'd disagree. They're pretty fundy Christians, and all that implies.

GOP meeting next week... work from within, and all that.

No doubt.

Which is the reason I want to flee, and flee far away. This is so not the quirky place I grew up in anymore. :(

Geh. I hate Glendale's (lack of) design. It's like someone took a bunch of monopoly houses, put them into a Yahtzee cup and shook them out over a map of where they wanted to put Glendale. It's insane that I can go from houses to farmland to a business sector and back to houses on the same farking street.

/On the other side, I had no idea there were so many Glendale/Tempe Farkers

It's the lack thereof.
