That should be prerequisite for everyone, regardless of college or major.

Subby says that like it's a bad thing.

Knowing how most Farkers are, they would probably prefer learning how to play "Up Cherry Street" instead.

/actually, it's a nice little tune

I remember my Mom listening to a Doodletown Pipers version of that song.

I used to like his music ironically, now I like it sincerely.

Don't dis HA ... maybe you think he's the 60s version of Kenny G... but, he was the king in his day, founded A&M Records, and cranked out some groovin' tunes.

spanish flea: I approve.

How about now--still approve?

Came here to say same thing

actually, to say

NTTAWWT

Best thing he did? "This Guy's In Love With You." Too cool. That gently staccato sound on trumpet is unequivocally his.

i came to say this

i worked at a light & easy station in college, and seriously, Herb Alpert was the highlight of my shifts some times...

and anytime i make a short home movie, i try to add some herb alpert for the background tunes

Never knew that till I RTFA. Learn sumthin' new every day. I was weaned on my mom's Herb Alpert & my oldest brothers Hendrix & Steppenwolf. I like all types of music. Except rap, disco & bastardized country. I'll save that rant for another time...
