Will Chinese Democracy be better than Radiohead's entire catalogue? Survey says yes, since you hear Radiohead all the goddamn time, but Axl has wisely decided not to release any more new albums.

Therefore Axl (silence) > Radiohead

Must be hard trying to act macho when you got knocked on your ass by a clothing designer.

When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

I wonder which VH1 anonymous music-oriented channel this could possibly be...

Anyone else enjoy the two banner ads with Slash in them? I'm sure Axl didn't.

I enjoyed the Gibson ad featuring Slash on the sidebar of the article -

If original GNR line-up got back together and basically made horse farting sounds - I would buy it. That is how much I liked Appetite for Destruction

Damnit - if it weren't for my little bit about horse farts causing an additional 30 seconds of typing we could have had a simalpost

Axl Rose is bipolar (new window).

Slash needs a job now doesn't he?
Throw him in the mix, see what happens ;)

What's with your obsession with Radiohead? Does Thom Yorke owe you money or something?

Pull a muscle stretching for that one?

Jeebus, I don't think I've ever seen you post without mentioning Radiohead. Congratulations! You're a contrarian! You don't like a successful artist! You win!

Either he's showing us all the clever pun contained in his name, or he saw Punkindrublic's Dr. Pepper post and mistakenly thought this was a soft-drink thread.

I dunno, maybe it's a reference to blacktooth grin? I think I remember reading an interview with GNR back when Appetite for Destruction came out stating that one of them basically subsisted on it. I could be wrong though, it's been almost two decades.

FeedTheCollapse 2008-04-08 04:44:20 PM
is it a casting call a la "Rock of Love", except Axl's auditioning musicians for whatever slot is open at the time?

He posted it in this thread (new window) so I think that's supposed to be his gimmick.

Isn't it a reference to Dr Pepper saying they (it? someone will undoubtedly pipe up with that one) would give a free can to everyone in the US or something if Chinese Democracy came out this year? (Too lazy to find linky.)

Ok I was curious myself.

links: here and here

No idea if it's definitely true though... just the messenger.
