Well, since he died yesterday, I don't think he's available.

He was in charge of the money. The promoter pried it from his hands.

...promoter, Mike Duve, took money that belonged to the group and left behind unpaid bills related to this show and others he promoted.

Neither Duve nor the Peoples Rights Organization could be reached for comment yesterday.

So...the guy that ran off with the money could not be reached for comment? What a shock.

Have you ever seen a person really hit with a bullet?

I mean a human being shot with deadly force.

Just wondering...

Well on the bright side, they got out of Cleveland for a while.

Yes. If you want to see one too, you can google for Bud Dwyer or any of the other infamous "caught on film" close-up shootings.

It isn't as much of a mess as you'd think. The human body is a fragile thing.

i always wondered why he kept that gun in an envelope, and who got the gun afterwards.

"stay back, this thing could hurt someone."

Why do you ask? I mean, what does the answer have to do with the right to bear arms?

It's a new meme that started in a gun thread. I'm trying to keep it going.

/I've seen that video of Bud Dwyer and the one with the crazy Bjork stalker with painted nipples that shoots himself in the mouth.

Never seen it as its happening, but I worked in the General Trauma Center here in San Francisco. I've seen people with more bullets in their body than years they've been alive on earth.

Its fraking ugly, whatever you people with your gorramed youtube videos say. Until you've actually put your hands in wounds, you dont know anything about what the damage actually is.

That being said, I'm still pro 2nd ammendment, but in the sense of the jewish character in cryptonomicon. I dont pack heat, and will never own a weapon, and I think most people who do are idiots. But I do want to be able to get my hands on one when the next great misfortune of humanity happens.

emtlawstudent: Its fraking ugly, whatever you people with your gorramed youtube videos say.

I didn't say it wasn't ugly. I said it was less messy than you'd think. Hollywood has trained people to think that being shot in the head would result in a scene somewhat reminiscent of that scene from Scanners with the guy's head going kablooie. That doesn't happen. You get a small spatter of blood, you fall like a sack of potatoes, you twitch, you crap yourself, and you die. There's no drama in it, there is only the sad realization of exactly how easily the human body is irrevocably broken. It doesn't take much to kill someone, intentionally or accidentally.

I support gun ownership in spite of this fact, not because of it. Simple as that.

At that point, it's too late - best to have one and know how to use it well in advance. Also good if nobody has records of you having it.

never let anyone have a large sum of money without it being secured in some way.

In my short time on this Earth, I have learned a few constants, one of which is that people take large sums of unsecured money every time.

Another thing I've learned is that to some of these dicktards, $200 is a large sum of money.
