I've said it before, and I'm sure I'll say it many, many more times in the future: "War Eagle" is the dumbest farking "battle cry" (or whatever you want to call it) in the history of dumb farking battle cries. It would take an Auburn grad to use the story of an eagle too weak to fly and which subsequently face-planted, dead, in the middle of a field, as a rallying chant.

On the upside, whenever I hear it, I always know I have to speak slowly and use small words with the person who uttered it. Makes things a lot easier.

wow, i bet you're a blast to hang out with in person. Athens is a great little city. once you get past all the college kids there's actually a great culture in that town and alot of diversity that cannot be found anywhere else in georgia. there's a great local music scene, alot of talented artists live in and around athens, plus it has a great night life with any kind of bar you could ask for. if you want to be around obnoxious frat boys and skanky chicks there's plenty of those places, but if you want to sit in a quiet pub and talk to friends theres tons of those too. plus the beer is cheap as hell. yeah it has its poverty problems, but what city doesn't. my guess is you went to athens and got denied by girls one two many times.
