Apparently, him speaking out against it before her vote doesn't court.

God, it's pathetic.

The woman is sounding like my yapping Aunt Sally. I don't pay much attention to her anymore. She's happy as a clam at her bridge club.

she amazes me. Its utterly pathetic the lengths she's going to to try to woo voters.

Its as if she thinks people can't go back and check up on her facts.

Bill, you need to reign your wife in. Yes... I know... You owe her because of that whole intern thing, but really, it's time to tell her the truth. Tell her about how she has fought hard and gave it her all. Tell her how you tried your best to help her get the nomination, but how it just didn't work. Yeah... she'll freak out a little. Maybe you could soften the blow (no... the other kind) by telling her it was your fault, she has been known to forgive you for things in the past. Let this be one of those things. It's time, Bill... it's time to tell her the truth... she lost and it's time to move on.

eqtworld: Look, I don't like Hillary anymore than any of you people do.

But, to be fair. Your personal views on war would be influenced if you had been pinned down by sniper fire while traveling with "Sinbad". Can you imagine? I bet he would tell jokes and talk really fast the whole time.

I bet it was more traumatic than McCain's stay in the POW camp.

You know, I can swear I remember seeing her on the cover of some major magazine back in ~1999 or ~2000 wearing some really skimpy clothing and showing a lot of skin. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Hillary's been against the Iraq war for 35 years.

But that was before she was for it, of course.

randomjsa: I'm sorry but as he was in no position to vote for or against the war I'm not seeing how he gets all this credit for being against it.

For clearly stating that he was against right from the start (at a time when it could have hurt his political career) and having the foresight to see what kind of mess we'd get into there:

I know that even a successful war against Iraq will require a US occupation of undetermined length, at undetermined cost, with undetermined consequences. I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda.

randomjsa: I'm sorry but as he was in no position to vote for or against the war I'm not seeing how he gets all this credit for being against it.

He made a very strong anti-Iraq speech in 2002, during the same peak of Bush's jingoism that gave us the ironically named "PATRIOT ACT" and "you're either with us or against us" speeches.

For a guy trying to attain national status, that is a very counter-intuitive thing to do, considering Bush was running 70-80% approval ratings then.

We have the opportunity to enact real change in this country by electing the first female president in our nation's history, and you guys are going to elect yet another man who apparently mischaracterized his past. Great, another liar. Thanks Obamaniacs.

So the only people entitled to an opinion are the ones who have been voted into Washington? I'm extremely glad this country doesn't work that way.

Torque420 2008-04-06 11:46:50 AM
Beautiful. Absolutley Beautiful. If hilary keeps this nonsense up for much longer the Clintons will be ruined. Even Chelsea is getting crap for supporting her mother. Why wont they just concede the election gracefully and back the fark out before they have no political clout left at all. The Clintons are a strong political family but I havent seen them this discredited since old Billy boy got his BJ. All the Clintons need to just shut the fark up and sit down for a couple of years. Then maybe they could continue to serve this country instead of hurting it.

So let's elect Hillary because she's a woman? Hillary has mischaracterized her entire life! It seems that every day she makes a statement that's easily proven false by amateur internet sleuths. I'm hoping this is a troll.

Yep, but out of 150,000,000 women, you had to choose her to represent your gender and your amazing ability of having to sit down to take a leak. Good on ya!
