Low enough that all the earth was frozen, all living creatures and plants withered away to nothing, and humans became extinct.

So terrible, I tell you.

FTA: "The M25 accident, involving a silver Peugeot, happened at 7.25am between Junctions 23 and 22.
A spokesman for Hertfordshire Police said the only occupant, a woman, received minor injuries."

a related article states that the minor injuries were to her cell phone and to her inner thighs from hot coffee being spilt whilst upside down.

Global Warming Trolls (Homo Sapiens Specious-Reasoningus) are commonly found lurking in the subterranean parts of suburban household family dwellings, where temperature remains relatively constant. A genetic mutation caused by this environment has found them to be less susceptible to changes in climate than standard Homo Sapiens, and thus, more tolerant to the effects of increased carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere.

GWTs are common noted in public discussion threads contaning discourse regarding this increase in atmosphereic CO2, and, since they are genetically predisposed to having dulled senses regarding the topic, they tend to believe that Global Warming, despite the mass of evidence to the contrary, is a myth. There is some evidence that increased Radon levels, due to the subterranean environment, have also contributed to the inability to engage in scientific logical discourse, and thus GWTs resort to the familiar tactics of ad hominem and/or specious reasoning.

GWTs are, coincidentally enough, associated with supporters of George W. Bush (GWB). This GWT-GWB association is probably that of convenience rather than predisposition, even though both groups tend to exhibit intelligence quotients that rarely exceed triple digits.

One likely consequence of global climate change is that the Gulf Stream would stop warming England. So yes, global climate change can lead to lower temperatures in England. They will be that much higher elsewhere.

Before the global warming fans chime in I have to ask..

Have you ever seen a climate really change?

I mean a globe warming with deadly force.

Just wondering...

pushpinder 2008-04-06 12:52:23 PM
Thankfully... Australia is pumping CO2 into the earth now. I was worried I'd have to get rid of my SUV. In 100 years after we pump all the CO2 into the earth and the earth cools (presuming the wackos are correct), I wonder if everyone will be scratching their heads wondering how to warm the earth back up.

Step 1 - Pump air into the earth....
Step 2 - ......
Step 3 - Profit?

omfg global climate warming change is destroying our way of life and will probably kill us all soon; if peak oil doesn't destroy us first.

cerberus9 2008-04-06 12:57:46 PM
Apparently in June 1859, snow fell at Epsom Downs Racecourse during the Epsom derby.

And FTA:

"And the Met Office warned last week that this summer is likely to be hotter and wetter than usual.

It is predicting a return to the traditional British summer of "three fine days and then a thunderstorm".

But forecasters refused to rule out a repeat of last year's torrential rain, which caused widespread flooding. Nor would they rule out an extremely dry summer."

So basically, summer will be hotter and wetter than usual, unless it's a traditional summer, but only if it doesn't rain or become extrememly dry.

FTFA: However, he added: "It is April so the sun is that bit higher in the sky and giving off more heat and energy so the snow should thaw during the day when we are expecting temperatures of 4C to 5C."

You Brits wouldn't have this problem if you converted over to Fahrenheit. That 4 & 5 would become 39 & 41...much warmer.

wait...what?

RicosRoughnecks: "Have you ever seen a climate really change?"

No, for the same reason nobody's ever "seen a monkey turn into a man", as the creationists say. Science isn't conditional on people standing around and directly observing phenomena that take place over multiple human lifespans. Visual confirmation isn't the only form of evidence, not by a long shot, and you ought to know better than to think so.

In conclusion, you've said something quite stupid and should feel bad about it.

Christ, it sounds like we've already lost the climactic battle for the UK. When will you people wake up and stop emitting CO2?
