That was one heart that couldn't go on.

Sique 2008-04-06 01:00:38 AM
Well, good luck to the next person with that heart?

7of7 [TotalFark] 2008-04-06 01:09:59 AM
The heart isn't doomed, it's the farking widow. She causes suicide.

Arthur Jumbles [TotalFark] 2008-04-06 01:13:42 AM
Wasn't the heart, it was the wife. Gee.... did the guy never stop and think about why his donor decided to kill himself?

naveline 2008-04-06 01:13:58 AM
I've always thought maybe there was something to this. (new window). . . but it seems kind of dubious. This (new window) too. I dunno.

ufark2 [TotalFark] 2008-04-06 01:15:38 AM
Will be better news if the 2nd dead guy is a donor and the new guy with the heart...

/just saying

Does this qualify as a total eclipse of the heart?

Ann and Nancy Wilson have no comment.

On this note, a similar greenlit article from about a year back.

/was the subby

Gyrfalcon [TotalFark] 2008-04-06 03:32:09 AM
I think that's it for that particular heart. Probably that particular widow, too.

Normally, I'm not one to make comments about suicide, but this is kind of creepy/Twilight Zone time.

Pretty freaky; I belive those stories you linked to are more than just a coincidence in each case.

Daddakamabb 2008-04-06 03:35:13 AM
No foul play suspected? Really? Wow and I thought I was naive.

Yungie 2008-04-06 03:35:22 AM
Wow, came to say it was the widow's fault..guess someone already beat me to it.

justoneznot 2008-04-06 03:39:35 AM
"And sometimes it was very complicated to be his friend."

Gee great way to end an article, just leave us hanging like that.

Really makes you wonder if this woman wasn't the BIGGEST biatch OF ALL TIME.

I have to ask; is this really irony?

Before the suicide fans chime in I have to ask..

Have you ever seen a person really commit suicide?

I mean a human killing themselves with deadly force.

Just wondering...

So after 3 or 4 "off themselves," will they start suspecting the woman?

Hell toupee. Except as a heart instead. Sort of.

/worst episode

The worst part is, the second guy didn't even want the transplant--but then he had a change of heart.

WILL YOU STOP!

No, but the next person who does this is about to see a human blown apart from inside by a forced-gasoline explosion. Yes, I will find you, and yes, it will hurt.

fenian- 2008-04-06 03:55:41 AM
You know what's ironic? Not this!

/YA, I am a freaking ADMIRAL with the Irony Police. The word DOES have a definition. It IS a useful, and subtle concept, not to be ham handed around as a fat woman mashes a keypad. And one day, it will be used Properly. It will likely have to do with YOUR death.

Your Fairy Hockey Player 2008-04-06 03:58:40 AM
Count me in as being suspicious of the wife. He was 30 years older than her when they met, and he bought a house for her and her kids before they were even married, so he had money. Sounds like she might have had a lot to gain from his "suicide."

Some moran asked it in a non-flamewar risk thread that involved guns (Second ammendment fans, being shot, really...something) and it wasgenerally full of fail, so it snowballed like a homeschool wife into a rotksy of asshatish proportions.

naveline: I've always thought maybe there was something to this. (new window). . . but it seems kind of dubious. This (new window) too. I dunno.

Mehmet Oz, MD, heart surgeon at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, has invited an energy healer, Julie Motz, into the operating room during transplant surgery. Initially, Motz practiced energy healing to help reduce anxiety prior to surgery and depression following surgery. Then the team noticed that there seemed to be less incidence of rejection in these patients.

"Seemed to be?" How scientific. Not.

Mehmet Oz is that dude Oprah has on her show all the time. I believe in mysticism and I think that the cellular memory theory could certainly be correct, but I want to see some more rigorous experiments than "seemed to be".
