It's true because I heard it on a Mexican Radio.

Thanks subby, it's taken 20 years to get that song out of my head and with just one submission, bang! there it is again.

I love his solo tune I Wanna Be a Boss. Hilarious lyrics to that one.

Also, I was driving around the Imperial Vally of California back in 2001 and I was listening to a station out of Mexicali which was playing "Mexican Radio", very surreal experience.

Hi-fi live version of Ring Of Fire.

I really like Wall Of Voodoo's album cuts. The singles were good, but the in-between tracks were so much better to me.

Too many drunken memories of singing along with this one:

Camoflauge

This is my personal favorite:

Back In Flesh (pops, kinda NSFW (they totally use the F-word))

not another lost weekend?

He's a genuinely nice guy. He took lots of time to visit with fans after his show in Atlanta- some who brought a dozen plus items to sign- in spite of the fact that Joe Nanini's family was there. He's such a great songwriter/storyteller...

I was invited to his party, but I DON'T WANNA GO!!!

Will Camoflage be there?

I wish they would re-release Dark Continent on CD. It's one of the great lost albums of the 80's.

Southbound is one of my favorite Stan tunes...

Stan's a genius. Terrific songwriter, and his skewed vocal delivery is the icing on the cake. I don't have as much WOV as I'd like, but I do have all his solo albums and they're all great. My faves are "Mosquitos", "Partyball", and "The Big Heat".

I find most of his recordings are very well made, too. Satisfies my audiophile sensibilities.

Happy birthday, Stan!

P.S. - Forgot about Drywall's "Work The Dumb Oracle". That one is kickass, too.
