Well this was posted early morning, April 4th... even though King was shot at around 6 in the evening. But the song has got to rhyme, doesn't it? Friggin Bono coulda just said "evening" and not f'd up his precious lyrics!

Bono's ego is so out of control that I get the distinct impression that he feels that he is more important than MLK ever was. Scary part is that by the time Bono takes the long dirt nap of eternity, he may well have achieved more worldwide impact than MLK did.

I am, of course, referring to the rebirth of the mullet, and all that came with that.

The Edge is the worst excuse for a guitarist in the history of excuses and guitars. Dude is awful. People who don't know how to play guitar can be taught most U2 songs, including the "solo", in 20 minutes.

All responsible parties should be shot for their involvement in that "Saints are coming" monstrosity.

Watch the vid for Red Hill Mining Town. Great song, but the vid is sooo bad it's funny. I could kinda take it with the bare chestedness, and the beating of the pillars... but watching the Edge release a bird in slo-mo was too much for me.

I've never understood the Bono hate. He's a rockstar, for chrissakes- being bombastic and self-important is what they do! If everybody just "kept their head down and did their job," the world would be an awful place.

At least Bono has the decency to channel his meglomania into something positive, which is a lot more than you can say about most other rock/pop icons.

I'm a non-guitarist, so clearly some do give a shiat, and it is the basis for me not taking their music seriously. I enjoy many of their tunes anyway, but the guitarist couldn't play his way out of a paper bag.

MLK & Pride are both great songs, Pride is definately best as a live performance.

For as much crap as Bono gets, I was more than amazed as a long time U2 fan that he sang the Opera portion of "Miss Sarejevo" for the performance in U23D. Not sure if he was doing it through all of the Sth American shows or not, but given the part was done by Pavarotti originally I think he did a very good job of it.
