I can tell by some of the pixels, and by the fact that there's a gigantic farking metal contraption floating in midair so no apparent reason.

I am an alien, sent here to monitor your species in advance of the coming conquest, so I am getting a big kick out of some of these replies.

"President Jimmy Carter, shown here in 1980, reported that he saw a UFO above Leary, Ga., in 1969. He filed a report about the sighting to the International UFO Bureau in 1973."

UFOs and killer bunny's. I wonder if Jimmy ever looked at a plate of mashed potatoes, and saw Devil's Mountain.

see, that's sometyhing i wondered, why the fark are aliens coming all the way down into our gravity well for resources that could more easily be mined in our asteroid belt?

Uh, I remember seeing photos of the underside of this thing last year on some site. What was obvious was that the "alien text" was actually Aurebesh, a popular Star Wars font. LOL.

/SUCH a hoax

So is the guy on that page the one who originally designed the craft? Or did he build the music video from the photos that were already out there?

Yakk: Amazing depth of field on that shot.

no doubt.

i wonder if this "private investigator"'s believing has anything to do with the 100 dollars an hour.

dl1137 2008-03-30 07:57:00 PM
FTFA: An unidentified woman from Open Minds Forum, a group specializing in "UFOology," was willing to pay him $100 an hour to investigate the sighting.... What does Davis think now? For one, he believes the object in the photo is too intricate to be the work of a Photoshop scam artist.

Maybe because if it were shopped he stops gettin paid? Once he solves the mystery he no longer gets paid to solve it, and you're suprised he tells you it's a huge mystery not a simple hoax?

Webgrunt 2008-03-30 07:57:14 PM
Yakk: Amazing depth of field on that shot.

No, because it's in broad daylight. High light = small aperture = high DOF. For an example, look at the photo immediately preceding your post. I'm not saying the "UFO" isn't 'shopped, just saying that the depth of field isn't anywhere near abnormal for the shot.

For 100 dollars an hour I can prove that the photo is not only real, but also that it's a photo of santa claus.

It just might take me awhile to get the "evidence" together.

I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords sent here to monitor me in advance of the coming conquest.

but then there's the remarkable subject definition and lack of underexposure, considering that it's backlit.
