I'll sue her for sex discrimination. It is discriminatory that women can sleep their way into a cushy job and men can't.

just curious though, how is this news? It happens all the time. Is it just because of the current paranoia about terrorism and airports that this is news? Our safety is compromised by an unqualified bint? Is that why it is news?

No not really. They go on to say "The Mail on Sunday understands that she was given the job by Heathrow's former managing director in late 2005." So no, there really isn't much of a story here.

My guess is that with all the baggage fark-ups currently going on at Heathrow, journalists have been sent there to cover those stories and turned this up whilst they were digging for stuff to write. Fits in nicely with the 'wtf is going on at Heathrow?' theme.

Hmm, the company that administers the largest British airport is owned by the Spanish??? I thought Britain was into socialism and screwing up government departments. Seems they have outsourced incompetence.

I think I've stumbled upon the only thing more awesome than winning the internets.

From now on, every post i make will be an attempt to make a joke so excruciatingly bad that the internet shuts down for a week. Or maybe I'll just post Carlos Mencia's face. Either way.

Vaginas: Better than degrees and experience®*

*Vagina may not actually imbue owner with any of the necessary skills or abilities to perform actual work.

Pay may be related to the tacit use of said vagina for sexual purposes but you can always sue, later.

Vagina may or may not be acceptable for trade for some jobs depending on overall attractiveness of owner of said vagina. Please consult your attorney.

Now she can sue for sexual harrassment if she ever gets fired. Was pressured by director into sleeping with him for promotions.

I'm amazed by her skill though. Slept with the previous director to get promoted, then to keep the job, marries this one.

Ms Boote, a 37-year-old mother of two, was formerly in the Military Police, which she joined aged 17, and eventually became a sergeant in the Special Investigations Branch.

The promotion was obviously crap, but she still has more experience than "Heckuva Job Brownie" did...

This is totally off subject.

I really could care less about this chick, but I have a question and I trust the Farkers so I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I'm a young guy and Ive been unemployed for the past 2 months, but I'm about to start a new job this week. Its really not what I want and no where near the pay that I'm used to. I'm considering buying some stock, but I have absolutely no idea what site to use and what to buy. If any of you have advice on what to do feel free to email me. Since you have no idea, put the money in a 5% savings account until you do have some idea. Who the hell asks for stock tips on FARK?

Didn't Bernie Kerik goe from being Guliani's driver to head of the NYC police department in 6 years also?

Looks like if you have a special talent or two, you can make to the top in 6 years. I guess all those people in MBA school are wasting their time and money.

I'm considering buying some stock,

If we are really entering a recession, I would wait until the market goes down another 20-30%, and then buy(1-2 years).

and why would someone about to start a low-wage dead-end, fresh off of 60 days of unemployment, be on the lookout for where to invest stock, and ask for your email?

I would not send this person my email address.

I would, however, pound that British woman; but the boss has got that locked up I think.

Well you see, I had the same job for the past 8 years, it paid well, but I hated every minute of it. So now I'm just taking it easy trying to find something I'm actually happy doing. As far as the stock tips, I just thought that buying some stock would maybe give me something to do in my free time and possibly help me earn some cash on the side. And as for mama's_tasty_foods's comment, I'm not trying to start a collection of email addresses, I just like the fact that the people on Fark are somewhat humorous and I'd rather take advice from someone that I could see myself having a nice conversation with as apposed to some uptight asshole on Wall Street.

Right now, the market sucks. Don't trust anyone who claims to know where it is heading. There are people who want to believe that Jan. 22 was the market bottom. Only time will tell.

If you haven't already, you may want to max out your IRA account. If you are investing for your retirement, you may want to dollar cost average into an index fund. Note that this is long term, and assumes that you can ride out the current economic uncertainty.

Thanks for the advice.

As for the rest of you, I just felt that this article was a waste of time and decided to change the subject. And although it may not seem like it, I've got a good head on my shoulders and I know not to take any advice without doing the research myself. And the fact that I'm 25 years old, my house and ride are paid for, and that I actually have the funds to buy stock after being out of a job for 2 months just makes me laugh when people call me an idiot. And I am by NO MEANS WHATSOEVER planning on throwing away a ton of money as long as Bush is in the House, but I thought that I may start an account and figure things out before Jan. 2009.
