Situational morality as usual by the whack jobs.

that article read a lot like "contrary to what we expected, senator clinton was able to spend a whole 90 minutes without being unequivocally wrong about something or devouring the flesh of humans for sustenance."

bronyaur1 [TotalFark] 2008-03-30 10:17:08 AM
Hillary would spend an hour schmoozing Charles Manson if she thought it had a 2% chance of winning one more delegate. Shameless and will stop at exactly nothing to get what is rightfully hers.

Cue Celine Dion and roll the credits - it's over.

ulwais [TotalFark] 2008-03-30 11:08:52 AM
He probably just wants her to get the nomination so he can have fun trashing her for awhile longer. There's no way Scaife could watch the Clintons head back to the White House without starting to foam at the mouth.

Magorn 2008-03-30 11:33:14 AM
Keep in mind RMS is a nutjob billionaire who, basically is the man who was single-handedly responsible for Paula Jones Lawsuit, Troopergate, Whitewater, Jauna Broderick's rape allegations, The "Clinton Death list" The "Vince Foster was murdered" meme and nearly every other scurrilous rumor she and he husband faced during his presidency. In a Nutshell, he WAS the "vast, right-wing conspiracy" Hillary so famously complained about.

I don't know which is more astonishing, the fact that he said some thing nice about her, or that she was willing to do a sit-down with him.

gilgigamesh 2008-03-30 11:37:11 AM
Forget Rev. Wright.

*This* is the story of the campaign season as far as I'm concerned.

And that story is the fact that Hillary Clinton would let Hitler sodomize her if she thought it would get her the nomination.

Hobodeluxe [TotalFark] 2008-03-30 11:37:26 AM
The right wants her to be the nominee. They will give her the outlet to slam Obama and help her do it.
This way she doesn't have to worry about being asked embarrassing questions about her lies. Just about Obama's pastor.

If she were to get the nomination they would turn on her in a heartbeat. She knows it. But hey if it hurts Obama then it's worth it.

Edsel 2008-03-30 11:38:49 AM
Magorn: I don't know which is more astonishing, the fact that he said some thing nice about her, or that she was willing to do a sit-down with him.

The answer to this one is simple:

1. She'd sell Chelsea into the sex slave trade if it'd garner her positive media attention at this point.

2. Scaife wants to see her win big in PA to continue the havoc being wrought inside the Democratic race.

jcooli09 2008-03-30 11:39:17 AM
I'm no Hillary fan, but she'd be better than McCain or bush.

He's saying nice things about her because he thinks she's beatable in the general. She's having a sit down with a man who accused her of murdering a family friend because she's a desperate, shameless who-ah.

Hell, I'd buy that for 100 dollar.

Yes it took some serious chutzpa, but keep in mind she does have huge giant balls.

All THIS and a bag of chips. She's desperate, shameless and she lies. You forgot that she lies. A lot.

they should offer Reid's job. She's a tenacious fighter. I think she do well there. Especially if the Dems do as well as I think they will this year.

yequalsy 2008-03-30 11:51:43 AM
Hillary as president would be fantastic for right-wing media ratings and right-wing fundraising. I don't think this is a case where Scaife, Limbaugh, and the like want her to be the nominee because she'd be easy to beat in the general, I think they really want her to be president. ca-ching, ca-ching.

I agree. There is no downside to her nomination in their point of view. If she loses, they get the White House again (and we all lose). If she wins, they raise huge funds and Limbaughs ratings increase.

Yes, Hillary offered to blow me in the Oval office if I would vote for her. Only when I vomited did she realize the error of her ways.

"It takes political courage to come in and tell me, a very important news person, what I want to hear."

Uh huh.

If anybody needs to see what the hell is wrong with America, it's this attitude -- on the left and right. Old Chris Wallace is still pushing his 'Obama Watch' -- you know, because Faux News is important.

Scum sucking, elitist, over paid, blow hards, that are in love with their faces on TeeVee and their names in print.

actually... isn't coming in and telling you what you want to hear, as opposed to primarily the truth whether it's what you want to hear or not, the exact opposite of political courage?

Yep.

Did that not come thru in my critique of the Pittsburgh Tribune's evaluation of how awesome and influential they are -- and thusly how impressed they were that Hillary dared to get some free publicity from the media?

If you care what this guy thinks you need to enter the Doing It Wrong Olympics.

CaptainFatass 2008-03-30 01:05:34 PM
Of course; he made a lot of money in the Clinton-bashing industry in the 90s (though, arguably, he spent a lot more--but hey, what did he care? It was inheritance money) and he wants a taste of those glory days back. Just like, being the dry-drunk that he is, he'd like a taste of brandy right about now.

SomeoneDumb 2008-03-30 01:16:24 PM
Meh, she's a politician. By definition that means she wants to change people's opinion. It's what drives them all. If someone doesn't like her, like Scaife, she sees it as a challenge to get him to change his mind about her.

Maybe his response to her now is more nuanced and has ulterior motives, but, yeah, she was mostly going after one more influential person to get more votes and delegates.

Well, we've all seen in the past that when it comes to the GOP+KGB Deathcult deciding between the "Betterment of the Nation" versus "Stealing Money from Chickenshiat Republican Suckers", that money has always won.

Scaife isn't changing his mind about anything. He is frothing at the mouth crazy. Oops, sorry he's rich, I mean he's frothing at the mouth eccentric.

Hillary gets the nomination and Scaife locks out Obama, who really scares him. Scaife can then start pouring money into an anti-Hillary campaign to get hand-puppet McCain in.

Hillary gets the presidency, she's further to the right than Obama and not black. He can just dust off the old PR machine and start in on her and Bill again. The noise machine would have four years of tearing into the two of them and with that much mud being thrown around, he could hope something would stick and the next Republitard hand-puppet would have a shoo-in election.

Scaife is mortally afraid of a truly popular progressive politician taking office. Scaife thinks the old pre-New Deal days were too soft on the masses and should have been more right wing. He won't rest until stopped by old age or they repeal all twentieth century social protections, whichever comes first.

/Would not put hiring a hitcrew to solve the problem if Obama wins nomination/presidency past this nutjob. Yes, he's that crazy.

Relatively Obscure [TotalFark] 2008-03-30 03:11:18 PM
That had to be one of the most strangely and universally disingenuous conversations in the history of time.

Mellonhead practically endorses Helldawg? Woo Hoo! Put L'il Dick's big tick right up beside cRush Limpaugh's and Rupert "the unbearable" Murdoch's. These guys loathe every iota of Hillary's being but they still see her as being the more easily beatable Dem candidate, mostly cos she is. The fact that Obama scares the living shiat out of 'em is also an important factor to bear in mind here. Still, Quatchi can't quite get over the notion that Scabies is somehow suprised that Hell-on-Wheels would dare to come into his office fer some free publicity. Helldawg would crawl over a mile of hot coals on her hands and knees and give Satan a BJ at the end of the trip if she thought she had a 5% chance of winning some favorable press for doing so. Actually, she'd prolly send Chelsea to do all that if she had the option.

Well, enuff of that. Can Quatchi go back to ignoring this Mellonhead now?

AntiNerd 2008-03-30 06:19:02 PM
Wow. This thread has some astonishingly stupid things written in it -- stupid even by the standards of the usual Fark-nest of Hillary haters.

Of course if she didn't meet with RMS all these same brain boxes would be accusing her of being do cowardly to do the job of president. They've done it before: "if you can't deal with Fox how are you going to deal with Kim Jong Il?" or some such crap.

RMS: Sen. Clinton also exhibited an impressive command of many of today's most pressing domestic and international issues. Her answers were thoughtful, well-stated, and often dead-on.

What you guys can't stand is the truth, isn't it.

quatchi 2008-03-30 06:51:31 PM
What you guys can't stand is the truth, isn't it.

Truth is Hillary is pathological liar who can't be trusted to tell the truth, which makes all of her campaign promises moot.

Speaking of moot, Hillary chances of securing the nomination (short of hiring a hit squad fer Obama) have gone from slim to none.

Wrap yer head around that truth.

I'm not here to defend Hillary. That's her job and although she is very, very good she has been making what seem to be idiotic mistakes recently. Then again, so much that has been reported about her over the years has been so slanted against her if not outright false that I wouldn't be surprised to learn that my current impression of her faltering isn't correct.

What I was pointing out is that your hysterical postings (and those of your like-minded brethren) reveal a lot more about you than about her. And let me tell you what is visible certainly is not very impressive.

brantgoose 2008-03-31 01:57:00 AM
He has dropped the "Mellon". The Mellon name has also been removed from a Foundation and the Sarah Mellon Scaiffe wing of the Pittsburgh Museum, I've read. Seeing as he was the angel behind the Right Wing Revolution and years of Clinton-baiting, this is quite a mood swing unless it's just a gambit to ensure a Democratic candidate of Republican choice. Obama must scare the bejesus out of the loony hard right flank of the GOP. All the blathering talking-heads are 'behind" Hill.

"Very very good"?

Well, you certainly don't sound like a typical ClintCo apologist now do ya? More like a ClintCo apologist doing a Bridget Jones impression, actually.

"Idiotic mistakes"?

Hiring you to astro-turf for her when her campaign in already in the red? Would that be one of her idiotic mistakes?

your hysterical postings

Quatchi does try to amuse. In point of fact, Quatchi finds Auntie Nerd's rambling, slow-witted musings to be so very, very Hillaryous!

You FAIL Hill shill.

Quatchi would say "Nice Try" but honestly ...not so much.
