I can only assume this headline made more sense in the original Japanese.

If your pets sleep on the porch, and your motorcycle is parked in the living room...

Can't just let those dogs on the porch freeze, you know.

They're wearing fur coats for God's sake! It has to get pretty cold for any harm to come to them. Colder than OK in late March.

My motorcycle is parked in the living room, so I'm really getting a kick...

No, it's not OKC.

There was a fire in Snohomish County last week that was caused my a heater too close to a pet bed. It destroyed the house and six vehicles. Just to keep a pet warm.

Article:

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma City firefighter is recovering after breaking his leg while battling an early morning house fire on the city's northwest side.

It is surprising, though, that news outlets have access to, and will report on, events that occur in nearby localities.

I think a nice Italian sportbike would look very nice in my living room.

I've been to parties where the host has had a Ducati Monster behind the couch.

Looks great.

/Harley-Davidson though....gross.

Fark you, bigot. ALL motorcycles are awesome.

Where in the article does it mention keeping pets warm?

MadAzza: ALL motorcycles are awesome.

I grant you that.

It's not that H-Ds suck...it's that they are so expensive for so low tech and low precision.

They make a lot of noise and suck a lot of gas without the side effect of any horsepower. Plus the handle poorly and sometimes don't even start.

/end rant.

I have Brit, German and Jap bikes next to my Italian so I'm not a bigot as much as a hater.

used to live in atoka and got this station and channel 12(KXII) out of sherman/denison when I was a kid (yes only two channels with an antenna, now get off my lawn)
anyway i can picture the conversation over in the news room:

KTEN director: "ok guys, we are running with this story about the pets on the porch and the firefighter getting pinned under the bike up in the city."
KTEN news reporter: "but I wanted to do the cow story"
KTEN director: "sorry but KXII is doing that one"
KTEN news reporter: "shucks"

and their idea of an OKC news bureau is to send someone up the road to OKC in the KTEN news van and have them start asking questions.
we are talking about the only two television stations in that part of the state (southeast Oklahoma, north northeast Texas) two tv stations that acted like two fighting children when the Oprah show switched from KXII to KTEN and Geraldo went from KTEN to KXII. The argument was all about a tv spot that showed Geraldo saying "Geraldo weekdays on KXII TV, a better time, a better station, for a better audience" Bad thing was a good majority of viewers watched both channels.

KTEN is also the station that back on April 19th, 1995 didn't interrupt programming when the bomb blew up. In fact even at their "live noon newscast" they never made a mention of it. Same station that their top notch weather man missed an F-3 tornado over Ardmore one year but Gary England up in OKC caught it and contacted radio stations down there to alert the residents.

Beautiful part of the state but wouldn't want to move back.

A living room is a good place for firefighters injured by a motorcycle. Comfy couch to recouperate.
