So by this logic, Chelsea would make a better prez than her dad, too.

Chelsea has more foreign relations experience than Obama, since she was in the White House for 8 years. She is way more experienced than him, and as experienced as her mother.

So then all Mom has to do now is get her brother elected governor of Florida and have her father (and his cronies) appoint a majority of the Supreme Court. Instant president!

/Putting a few businesses in bankruptcy and trashing a major state would help too

JJ Money 2008-03-29 02:49:11 AM
I don't get why it is that Hillary hasn't gotten more heat about Bill cheating on her, when Obama was assraped by the media and in the public eye because of his church pastor having said some stuff that is politically sensitive regarding America's foreign policies.

gonepostal: so Chelsea is as stupid and as big a liar as her mommy?

Not at all. I saw the video from Tuzla, Chelsea was there, too. In fact, she threw herself in front of her mom during the sniper attack when the Secret Service had so obviously failed to protect her, then grabbed an M-4 (although like most Clintons, she secretly prefers the Steyr AUG) and ran up the hillside around the airport. I think she killed five guerrillas that day, although there was so little left of the last one that it was hard to tell. Oh, and don't forget the string of Claymores that she disarmed.

After talking to enough Obama supporters... this is my conclusion. (somewhat talking out my ass)

Obama supporters are throwing their candidate under the bus. Why? People like to see unity.

Most Hillary supporters will still vote for Obama in the general if he wins the nom. Most Obama supporters say they won't vote for Hillary if she wins the nom.

Swing voters are going to see this as childish. And it really is. Old people love to vote against youth, and if they feel Obama supporters are childish, their vote will go to McCain.

Obama supporters might not like Hillary personally, but as far as policy, you are far closer to your man by voting for Hillary in the general. Unfortunately, most youth, and Fark members vote as if this is a popularity contest. Policy wise, they are pretty damn close.

If you are supporting Obama, you need to support Hillary if she takes the nom from him.

/not likely to happen
//Obama is probably going to win
///too bad Obama supporters will be sore winners

You forgot the time after that when Hillary used a magnetic cable to hoist herself up to the belly of one the Bosnian AT-AT's and used her lightsaber to slash it open and throw some thermal detonators inside. That turned the tide of the Battle of Tulza bigtime!

We'll never know, will we?

It's getting easier and easier to dismiss what comes out of the Clinton camp as no more than desperate and silly statements from a dying campaign.

Hillary literally has become a late-night TV and internet joke - and she is just one more gaffe from being ridiculed out of political existence. Given the Monty Pythonesque management of her campaign, such a gaffe seems likely even before the PA primary voting begins.

Mugato [TotalFark] 2008-03-29 10:26:37 AM
seabass242: Obama supporters might not like Hillary personally, but as far as policy, you are far closer to your man by voting for Hillary in the general.

I don't think Hillary and McCain are far apart enough to discount the fact that Hillary is a lying, manipulative evil biatch. They both support the war. Nothing else really matters, so who cares? So if Hillary wins, I'll hold my nose and vote for McCain. And then get shiatfaced.

As a woman I support Hillary and think she'd do okay as president- certainly better than McCain any day- but the numbers are incredibly against her.
According to one of the female panelists on Larry King last night, she'd have to coerce a fair amount of superdelegates to vote against the will of the people, disenfranchizing them from politics and the system even more. So she'd get the nomination, but at an incredible price.
The timing sucks for her- that she would have such a strong chance right at the moment when Obama shows up, but it's time she drops out before doing any more damage to her party.

Either one seems to be pretty bad to me.

superlawyergirl: As a woman I support Hillary

what kind of logic is that? You support her because you are both women? Do you think that ANY and ALL women running for President should get your support merely because they are women?

How about qualifications? (Other than the reproductive organs, of course.) Is she qualified because she lived in the White House?

How about integrity? She tells more lies in a week than most people do in a year.

No, hang on Spitzer. Just a second. No need to bite like that.

Superlawyergirl -- why do you feel Hillary is a better candidate? The 'female candidate' thing doesn't resonate with me, but I'd like to know more about your feelings and thoughts on the subject (simply because I don't get it!).

baccc -- I think you're wrong there. It's certainly likely there will be a female president of the US... but Hillary just isn't that good a politician or that good a campaigner.

She's both too aggressive and too timid, and in neither of those schizoid stances does she show any real conviction. She can't triangulate like Bill could; it really seems to go against her nature. She can attack and defend, but she can't see -- for what must appear now to be some kind of megalomaniac purpose -- that she *has* lost the nomination.

The US will have its female president. but it will have to be someone more lucid, honourable, and compelling than Hillary.

I think if a hot enough woman was on the ballot, someone like that Ukrainian, she'd have a shot.
She'd be teflon, because no would pay any attention to what she says, just hearing "blah blah blah blah" and hoping to see a boobie pop out. Just like how you women get us to marry you.

NYZooMan 2008-03-29 11:38:46 AM
No big deal.

It's established that belittling males for the sake of females is accepted though it is NEVER allowed the other way around.

Because men are superior and can 'take it'.

Hillary cares about her 'party' as much as a tourist cares about his rental car.

Next thing she'll say is 'Mom's also better at picking up women' thus securing the ugly dyke vote.

Tabatha Static 2008-03-29 12:50:24 PM
...well, I'm assuming that her mom is less likely to be the serial rapist her dad is, so she's got that going for her.

But I suspect that her mom might have a Maggie Thatcher-like propensity for committing more war crimes than her dad did.

It's a wash.
