Wow, if the Republican's work really hard they may soon catch up to the mayors, Governors, and Congressmen caught doing bad who are Democrats!

My favorite part of the article:

Way to fark up your promotion in less than three weeks!

It's like clockwork.

How the hell do they find replacements? Who wants "worked for the Bush admin" on their resume?

You're kidding right? They are all getting very, very cushy jobs with very, very big checks.

Agreed. Try to pick one by name and start railing against them specifically and incoherently, then when someone responds, pick someone else to go after or change the subject back to Bush. At least that is my wide stance on the issue.

You know how you had that first job in high school where you screwed around all day spitting in people's burgers until you got fired, then never ended up putting it on your resume because you thought someone might actually check your references?

It's kinda like that.

pvd021 2008-03-28 06:58:39 PM
I wish somebody had the time to List all the people who worked under Bush, the amount of time they worked for him, and reason for leaving, and those convicted/arrested for wrongdoing.

It would definitely be an interesting lead.

I'd like to compare his turnover rate to that of the fast food industry.

StrikitRich 2008-03-28 07:15:01 PM
An aide to President Bush has resigned because of his alleged misuse of grant money from the U.S. Agency for International Development when he worked for a Cuban democracy organization.

So the alleged incident did not happen while he worked in the White House?

Thread over.

Yes, Bush-haters, another little punching doll for you to get your sarcastic negative comments around. You should be lucky that Bush isn't eligible for a third term because he would win it handily, election fraud paranoia aside from the squawking liberal contingency.

But McCain is going to win, and I assure you he will clean this country up and many of the most problematic critics of this current policy are going to have to leave this country, perhaps to Canada or some other socialist-leaning stronghold in Europe. America is finally going to shake the nonsense loose from this country when McCain comes to the White House.

BTW, copying and pasting my entire argument and replying with a smug invective does not constitute an argument.

You've had it liberals. Even when a Republican was in office, we had to suffer the insults of your coupish political correctness and your absurd hatred and fear of defending this country from attack. McCain is going to change all that, including the possibility of re-education programs and other patriot-related social consciousness. The age of the liberal denouncing policy is over. You heard it here first.

God, you guys are delicate - did you really work that hard this week that you think everyone is "out to get you"? It really wasn't a troll, just a statement regarding news that has been released in the last week - such as the New York Governor and the Detroit Mayor scandals, etc.

Or are those scandals false and just put out by the "right-wing" media??

/Be careful of the black helicopters, they are out to get you...

It's often frustrating being as right as I am, that this site is filled with lock-step Obamites and others "too liberal" for Obama, spewing their Chomsky treason and thinking you make a difference. Well, you don't. You can mock me, disagree with me, this is your warning, one you refuse to take seriously: your days as carefree snarkers who think you know policy better than this government are numbered. I am waiting each day for your slackjawed expressions when McCain is sworn into office. You'll cry "foul," naturally. You'll scream the election was rigged. You'll scream the Republicans played dirty when in reality America woke up at the last minute. Yes, you'll continue to deny this even when McCain begins his wide-scale cleanup of this society. Your types will never be allowed once again to sully our election process with your ridiculous, naive, soft-on-Terror suppositions of what you think government means.

I wonder what this skookum character is like in real life, assuming he's not a huge troll. Do you think his compound is above or below ground? I imagine the walls are adorned with pictures of Bush, Cheney and beside them, the Constitution with a big red line through it.

Maybe a Larry Elmore painting with him cowering behind a muscular Bush holding a huge shield deflecting fireballs being thrown by a big brown guy in a turban. I bet it's striking.

I dunno. he has the Bush justice dept on his arse after 3 weeks?

Someone might have set him up the bomb with that promotion.

It's happened before. Guy comes in,new job,he thinks he's doing the right thing, probably signed off on something he didn't read thoroughly. you know how it is,assistant hands you something and tells you to sign it,next thing ya know there's some money missing and your signature's all over it and your only excuse is pleading ignorance.

I was wondering what McCain had to clean up after Bush did such a great job that he would easily win a third term if eligiable. But, since now non-TFers have the "ignore" option, I will not ponder on it too long.

skookum 2008-03-28 07:56:39 PM
Actually, if we didn't have a War on Terror to deal with, free speech and voting might be considered in a "usual business" light. However, too many forget or even flat-out deny that we are at war.

And frankly, until the War on Terror achieves a tangible goal that satisfies this nation as a whole, there will be a certain tightening and inflexibility shown in many of the rights we usually enjoy. For example, there well could be a corralling of rather spurious dangerous elements like Olbermann or other left-wing propaganda masquerading as news. The Daily KOS easily comes to mind. Unless they start watering down their attacks on this country, it may well be seen that disclaimers on news sites and other forms of wartime censorship might occur. It's all up to the Cindy Sheehans of the world, whether it's actually worth it to endanger your country that much just so your precious free speech can have its way with us.

Mugato [TotalFark] 2008-03-28 07:57:36 PM
Okay here's a serious question, skookum. If Bush's approval rating is hovering around 30% and support for the war is even less and McCain promises more of the same...how do you figure McCain is going to take the election? All snarkiness aside, I'd like an honest answer.

Nikorasu552 2008-03-28 07:59:36 PM
PSA:

skookum's profile? actually much more interesting reading than the article.

skookum 2008-03-28 08:04:11 PM
McCain is perhaps the first "necessary evil" candidate the Republican Party has had since Warren G. Harding, quite frankly. His only selling point is that he has promised not to cut and run as his opponents have implied they will do. No one wants to vote for Hillary, not even Democrats, and frankly there are not enough of them to boost her into office when she takes the nomination. Yes, it's Democrat Fuzzy Math. She doesn't have the electorates to give her the actual nomination, but favoritism will prevail at the Convention, I assure you.

And finally the Republicans will have a real battle to fight: keeping Hillary out of office.

McCain will at least keep the Bush policy intact until 2012, when another, stronger candidate will be created and elected.

Magruda 2008-03-28 08:06:34 PM
skookum: McCain will at least keep the Bush policy intact until 2012, when another, stronger candidate will be created and elected.

We can rebuild him, we have the technology. We can make him faster, stronger, a better liar. We can create the world's first bionic president, John McCain will be that president.

I guess I wasn't aware there was a tangible goal of the "War on Terror!!!" seeing as how declaring war against a tactic isn't tangible whatsoever.

and that's what blows my mind. I work as a contractor for a three letter agency that has NOTHING to do with Intelligence or National security, and we still make people do an sf-85p background check that takes a minimum of a month and goes over your entire life with a fine-toothed comb. How the hell is the White House vetting process easier and less thorough than the one I have to go through to add a Gs-7 to my staff?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: troll or not, skookum is undervalued as a spokesman for the right. His words should be broadly disseminated. All Republicans should be forced to defend them.
