Subby has the accuracy of a young Simo Häyhä.

Sounds pretty accurate to me.

Is this the best we can expect from washed up 80s hair bands? (At least the ones that don't burn down venues with illegal pyrotechnics and kill all their fans in one fell swoop)

Fixed.

Oh boy. It'll probably be both L.A. Gunns, Half of RATT and Warrant. And that's just the main stage, on the second stage will be Enuff Znuff and Jackyl.

Great White will close the show

I dunno... Ozzfest has been fading lately. Anyone remember the 'free' shows this past year.

Oh yeah...I hit the Chicago one this past summer. All the bands sucked and even Ozzy's set was sub-par. Heaven And Hell was a much better show and tour.

Motley Crue sucks ass.

Considering that they keep trying to distance themselves from the whole "Hair Metal" scene, I think it's just going to be the "Crue" part of that name.

I saw Motley Crue... 2 years ago? It's was on their Carnival of Sins tour; they came back to Atlanta after Vince tore a muscle at the first show.

What a farking joke. Vince let the audience sing half the notes, probably because he kept running out of breath. During the second set Mick Mars just disappears backstage and brings the show to a halt for 10 minutes. Seriously, the show was so lame. It's disappointing, because I dig Crue.

The best part of the show was when they played Girls, Girls, Girls. Not surprisingly, they had strippers on stage, girls on motorcycles driving around, etc. while they played it. That was decent.

The rest? Lame like Chocolate Rain.

FTFA:Reports suggest that Buckcherry, Drowning Pool and Papa Roach have already signed on to perform on the inaugural Cruefest.

Huh? Are these bands or something?

Just gimme the Crue, or at least a Crue tribute band. Or give me some other 80's bands. But if you think that I'm gonna buy tickets and listen to the craptacular bands of the Aughts...assumption denied.

Ozzy is able to tour with the contemporary "metal" bands because his music tends to be timeless. You'll always have stoners that will listen to Ozzy. It's in the Bible!1! Somewhere towards the back, I think.

I saw Vince Neil at Rocklahoma last year. He SUCKED! The only act there that sucked. (His guitarist, however, ruled. I would buy a ticket to see a whole show of just him.)

I would still buy a ticket for Cruefest if it came close to here, though. Maybe the rest of the Crue can make Neil put on a good show.

I'd go see the show for Buckcherry, at least. They have three good/great albums, Timebomb being criminally underrated (at least as far as sleazy rock goes). And their guitarist can flatout play.

That said, even as a child of the 80s, the Crue I can take or leave (same with Nikki's vanity project, Sixx AM). I have heard a clip of their new song, "Saints of Los Angeles," and it sounds very much like a throwback to the Girls, Girls, Girls era, so there's that. Given that their last few albums sucked hard (the last Crue album I have is Dr. Feelgood (with the exception of the Decade of Decadence greatest hits)), there may be some promise there.

The other two bands referenced in the article don't warrant mention.

Yeah, ticket sales should suck just like it did for their Carnival of Sins Tour.

I'm more exited about the tour announcement I heard on Sirius Hair Nation this morning. Cinderella, Lynch Mob, and Warrant. All original lineups.

This stuff is still around because of capitalism. People like me who are fans of the music have no problem spending money to support it whether on ticket sales or CD sales. I read a financial article on it once. According to the article many of the generation of fans who grew up with the music and like it have turned out pretty successful. They are also the most free spending of the age demographics and one of the things they splurge on are concert tours of the bands they grew up listening to.

With all due respect, holy. farking. shiat.

Do you wear an airbrushed jean jacket, acid washed jeans, and Reebok Pumps? Or maybe two tone jeans? Do you sport a Kentucky Waterfall? Drive an IROC? Listen to cassettes on a Walkman? Go to the arcade at the mall and spend all your quarters on Joust? Do you have a bandanna tied around your leg and a feathered roach clip hanging from your rear view mirror? Dangling cross earring? Crustache?

No dude, I am a college educated professional who works for a Fortune 500 company. Salaried not hourly and technical/engineering not mail room.

I do find the jokes and stereotypes funny though, but despite them I really like the music and enjoy the concerts. I've flown from Huntsville, AL to Tampa, FL. for the specific reason to see a concert with Cinderella, Ratt, Quiet Riot, and Firehouse in 2005. Why not? I enjoy it and I can afford it.
