This is why I hate comeback/reunion tours. This is George Michael we're taking about. The guy from Wham. If he never stopped touring, he would at this point be playing 1,000 seat theaters for $25 or so. I might have actually gone to see him at that price, but there's no way I'm going to pay $50 to sit in the bleachers of a basketball/hockey arena to watch (on the jumbotron) someone whose last hit song was released over 20 years ago.

I went to see The Police in Adelaide. The missus and I had whites of the eyes seats, which cost $250 each. Best $500 I ever spent.

I couldn't bring myself to pay anywhere near that much for a single concert. Unless I'm going to a festival, $35 is pretty much my limit. I love The Police and all, but I could go see 15 other concerts for that price.

On the positive side, if their reunion tour wasn't as big and popular as it is, they probably wouldn't have come to Australia at all. So I guess I'm kind of spoiled, living in the northeastern US.
