Most drug-related violence (at least at street level) comes in the form of, or as a reaction to some kind of drug rip-off. Selling fake drugs often results in people trying to hurt or kill someone. Then there's the fact that sometimes people pass off one drug as another, resulting in overdose/poisoning outbreaks and such.

People selling fake drugs are even worse than people selling real drugs.
