The list is about commercial advertising only. When you say "eggs" and "advertising" to me the one that comes to mind is the "this is your brain" anti-drug propaganda from the 1980s. And Mojo Nixon's song "Don Henley Must Die" which opens with a parody of the ad.

This must be a usage of the word interesting that I was previously unaware of.

I don't know what #6 is selling, but I'll buy it.

And that sound you hear is 80% of young Farkers going, "Who?"

Mega Steve: The best use of eggs in advertising. (new window)

That is quite possibly the best commercial I have ever seen.

And thank you for not linking to that HILARIOUS rick astley video.

Those (I watched Eagle Man and Woman) are possibly the worst American commercials I have ever seen.

I second that.

Although, in the last ad, the girl in the swimsuit crawling out of an egg is pretty hot.

Aw man- Eagleman- I think that series featured Mancow if I remember correctly.

I see those Egg Council creeps have gotten to you too, subby.

staplermofo: Where is my brain on drugs?

Not obscure enough. We only praise advertising for its creativity when no one's ever heard of it.

Or if you meant the question literally, I have no idea. Check under the couch.

Miss, do you suck balls? Sorry, what I meant to ask was, do you suck THESE balls?

Homer: Stonecutters, eh? How do I join?
Lenny: There are only two ways to gain membership: be the son of a Stonecutter --
Homer: Next?
Lenny: -- or, save the life of a Stonecutter. [starts to eat a sandwich]
Homer: Hey! [grabs it, stomps on it] I saved your life! That egg sandwich could have killed you by cholesterol.
Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human blood stream.
Homer: So one of those Egg Council creeps got to you too, huh?
Lenny: Aw, you've got it all wrong, Homer. It's not like that.
[a man in an egg costume creeps, then runs, away]
Homer: You'd better run, egg!

You know what I really liked about that list? The way all of the entries were on the same page. I thought that the days of readable Top (n) lists were over.

I used to love playing with the big plastic eggs that my mom's L'Eggs pantyhose came in. Those were very handy for organizing all my Barbie clothes.

I also liked keeping Barbie stuff in the big purple Crown Royal bags, but my parents weren't too happy about me lugging my toys over to my friend's houses in those. I wonder if the sight of me with six or seven of those bags in my room was any part of why my stepfather stopped drinking?

AlphaNumericus 2008-03-22 01:38:18 PM
I'm shocked that "this is your brain on drugs" didn't make the list. I expected it to be #1.

I liked the "Fresh Life snack pack" chick best. Here's their other ad (cocoon).

Snakeophelia, I used to love those things too! except I used them as grenades. Put some baby powder in them, throw 'em at someone and POW! Covered in powder!

I knew I was a moral person when my friend suggested using paint and I said no.

A few of these were advertisements for eggs. Kind of unsurprising that they'd use eggs in an egg ad.
