I once saw a guy assault a girl at a quickie mart. After smacking her down, he stole her car keys and ran out to his POS truck and tried to haul ass. I don't know why, but I ran out and grabbed the tailgate of the truck as he tried to speed away.
After sliding across the parking lot for about 20 yds, three police cars converged on the guy. I later testified in court about the assault.

Sometimes things just piss you off, and you go on autopilot. It might be a stupid, boneheaded thing to do in retrospect, but you can at least look back and know you didn't stand idly by and watch someone else get farked over.

The very reason these companies have such policies in place is becuase they know their floor merchandise/cash is not worth a person's life. Take their information, make note of description and anything else you can see, then give that information to the police.

Any police officer or store manager will tell you the same thing. Do not escalate a situation into physical violence.
