Hey I remember her. Every once and a while her album comes up on my playlist randomly and I suddenly get whisked away amid a sea of hormone-riddled nostalgia.

That said, I don't see her smashing the charts anymore than the Spice Girls.

I have no clue who she is.

You know, I prefer Batman alone.

when it said that her name was "robyn" and she released a track called show me love, i thought: robin s, show me love. it's obviously not, though.

ComicBookGuy: I have no clue who she is.

Same here. According to the article she "broke through" in the late '90s, which is probably why.

What is this "America" you speak of?

/of course of I've heard of Robyn, I have all her albums and posters; her Christmas album is of course my favorite
//but i'm not so sure about this "America" place -- frankly it sounds made up

Here's a remix of her song Be Mine by Ocelot. The song is sweet and the video is great too.

I thought subby meant Robyn Hitchcock for a moment, then I saw the "she."

FTFA: The new set finds Robyn collaborating with members of fellow Swede acts the Knife and Teddybears, among others...

I only vaguely remember this Robyn as yet another pop tart that soiled late-'90s music, so I don't much care. But the Knife and Teddybears are two really awesome bands.

Are you not getting any sound, either?

I just figured my computer was being retarded again. It IS a gateway, after all.

Jedekai 2008-03-22 09:44:12 PM
Great. Another pop starlet from the mid-90's is making a comeback.

In other news; the sky is still blue, grass is still green...

/One thing I want to know: Why don't the good bands ever get back together. Seriously.

Gals Panic 2008-03-22 10:00:42 PM
Honestly, I didn't know she had done anything before her 2005 self-titled album came out. I thought I had stumbled across something new. Damn.

Actually, there are two "Show Me Love"s, one from Robyn, and one from Robin S. So, yeah, you're right.

/child of the 90s.
//way too much time on his hands.

carmody: Me too. Just goes to show that when you read a headline, you gotta be straight about it. You gotta be straight about it.

/See you next Tuesday...
