It was crippled by the same thing that crippled Kerry:
A lack of balls on the Iraq War vote.

This is going to be interesting. It's becoming more and more obvious that even if Hillary Clinton stops Obama in Pennsylvania, she still has to pull some seriously shady bullshiat to win the nomination. So how do you tell her to GTFO?

If I were the DNC, I'd approach her thusly: "Drop out, and you'll be Senate Majority Leader in January 2009. You'll also be in a great position to run in 2016, and we'll make sure that that time no one who could beat you shows up. Stay in, and you'll be lucky to be seated on the Subcommittee For Waste Disposal."

Nestea Plunge: I'd hate to agree with an asslick like Morris who pays for sex and sucks hooker's toes but he's right.

Dick Morris usually correct in his predictions and political observations. I kind of like listening to his insight.

It was crippled by the same thing that crippled Kerry:
A lack of a likeable candidate.

This headline cracks me up. We've had 8 years of a cabinet that knuckles under to the president's preference for shutting out inconvenient facts. Hillary's staff is like that too? Hey, sign me up!

I'm still holding out hope that Clinton can somehow come back and win the overall popular vote, but still fall short of Obama's delegates. That would be just beautiful, man, just beautiful...

Hillary didn't have an advisor able to tell her she was losing after the early primaries, that they had seriously underestimated Obama as a political threat and they needed to change her message and prepare for a campaign that would go beyond beyond Super Tuesday. They did none of these things, and now it's likely to go all the way to the convention.

Anyone can manage a winning campaign; it's when your guy is losing that campaign managers and advisors earn the money they're getting paid.

Some managers believe that you get the best ideas out of your staff by pitting them against each other. In the ensuing chaos the good ideas float to the top.

As a manager I've never been particulary fond of that style. Now Hillary is coming to understand why it's not the greatest approach.

quickdraw [TotalFark] 2008-03-21 02:19:50 PM
Hillary, like most cultists, probably could not hear it when they did tell her. She was doing God's work as the foreordained candidate. She thought it was God's will that she win.

Hillary's cult^
"We believe in the Scripture's teaching that civil government is of divine appointment, for the interest and order of human society. "

They also believe that evolution is a hoax, that abortion is a sin and a woman's place is in the home. Hillary is a closet fundy.^

That's really just a lazy interpretation of JFK's decision-making style, which was to solicit advice from contrary points of view, but still be very much in charge of making the decision. Chaos is not an organizational principle, it's poor leadership.

I wouldn't go nearly that far, but I was very interested to read today about the man that Sen. Clinton apparently calls her "spiritual mentor" (new window). It does sort of put the Jeremiah Wright kerfuffle in a whole new light.

The best managerial approach is to tell everyone they're fired if they continue licking your anus (or vagina, or whatever Hillary has).

Funny thing that (going to Godwinize the thread, without meaning to), but you have just described Adolf Hitler's managements style. According to Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, Hitler encouraged squabbling among his underlings. Then he came in and looked wonderful and leader-like by "resolving" matters.

Good to see that you don't go for that "management" style, yourself.

for people promising her "senate majority" and future nominations:

why?

and why should she believe them, anyway? there's no reason for her to do so. there's no reason the democrats will offer her "a future nomination, no matter what". there's no reason they'll offer her a senate majority post. none of these things will happen. i think hildog is smart enough to know that. this is her chance; that's why she's not "dropping out to become senate majority leader", because there is no such deal. give her some credit fellas.

After reading about the "Family" and Hillary's quotes on her faith, I think she actually believes that she was chosen by God to be President. People joke about her 'deserving' to be POTUS and how it's her 'turn', but it's kind of frightening when you realize...those sentiments are no exaggeration.

I pity all those who work for her. When she loses the nomination, Hillary's imploding ego will be epic.

Seriously. The Clintons and their allies need to be marginalized from American politics. The DNC telling her DIAF would be a great start.
