Wow, at this point I figured he just wouldn't endorse. Glad he made the right choice.

I'm glad one of them grew a pair and decided to try to stop the DNC from hanging itself again.

Your turn Gore.

Not to mention his "being gay is a choice" gaffe at the HRC debates. He may be a swell guy, but that was one of most politically idiotic things I've ever witnessed.

High-five to you, good sir.

Do I have to take Obama to get the donuts?

Now what's your excuse, Edwards?

One F Jef 2008-03-21 03:57:58 AM
too little too late, hillary's gonna keep crying and whining and cheating and stealing until the nomination is hers.

thanks for the effort though, bill.

How many executions have taken place while Richardson has been in office?

Suicidal Writer: I suppose if someone supporters executing human beings, then Richardson is a great politician.

Or the more likely: that Richardson is a pretty good politician, and also happens to support executing human beings.

Too bad that during his campaign, he couldn't go a single sentence without using the words "governor" and "New Mexico". We get it. You're the governor of New Mexico. They introduced you as such at the beginning of the debate. Our attention spans are a touch longer than the Japanese teenage average of six whole seconds. Benefit of the doubt prz, kthx.

Ground_Hog: I think Edwards has officially missed the bus now.

This. Maybe he's still hoping for something like an AG nod, and he's still afraid that Hillary might steal the nom. Regardless, doesn't look like we NC folk get to foist him off on someone else. Drat.

Because you'd better make damn sure your protection circle is scribed 100% correctly if you're going to cross Hillary Clinton. That, and holy water is a special order and takes some time to ship.

El Uno Magnifico 2008-03-21 04:04:07 AM
This is actually great timing for Obama. He needs positive news right now, and a prominent endorsement is just what he has to have in the weeks coming up. He should've done it before Texas, and maybe the primary could've gone for Obama, but now is actually a pretty good time for this.

Neurochemist 2008-03-21 04:04:24 AM
Duffer: Your turn Gore.

Yep.. and Pelosi... Then after Pennsylvania, once she is mathematically even more in the shiatter, Dean needs to tell her to bow out gracefully, or threaten to come out publicly and point out she is mathematically doomed and announce the remaining super delegates have come out against her.

My current political wet-dream:

Pensyltucky screws up, as usual.
Race drags on long enough for NC to actually vote and somewhat count.
NC goes 60/40 or 70/30 to Obama.
Dean, Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, and Gore combine their powers and stake HRC.
HRC vomits blood and brimstone while shrieking in backwards Latin.

Obama's already dead. That historic race speech? Yeah, that was his concession speech.

After the past 2 elections how can you expect americans to pick the candidate that isn't a slimy dirty shiat eating sleezebag? hmm? you can't. in american politics, the worst always happens. hillary gets the dem nom, mccain wins because she's a stupid whore. 4 more years of bush. go america.

TheQuest35 2008-03-21 04:34:31 AM
(Someone Sponsored me! a HUGE thank you if that person is in this thread)

I remember so much buzz around him last election in 04' similar to Obama back then as a person to watch in the future. If Obama does get the Nom Nod I really cannot picture Obama not useing this man for hispanic support.

Client No. 9: Pity Richardson didn't get the nom, he was by far the best of the bunch.

Agreed. Richardson was great, but unfortunately was overlooked by the "ZOMG A BLACK GUY!" and the "ZOMG A WOMAN!" frenzy that took over the DNC. It's really a pity, he and Edwards were great presidential prospects.

One F Jef 2008-03-21 04:40:24 AM
First half of this headline is awful. Smells like a mod hatchetjob too.

Five Minute Standup 2008-03-21 04:42:24 AM
Obama's VP is gonna be either a Hispanic or a woman. If they go with the former, Bill Richardson would be good choice. It's a shame Charlie Crist is a Republican. I wouldn't be surprised if McCain chooses him. Floridians are dumb enough to vote en masse for a guy just because his running mate is from their state.

More likely scenario: Obama will be picking up superdelegates for the next few weeks as the media focuses on why three different people, whose boss happens to be a Clinton endorser, peeked into Obama's private information through passport records. Then Edwards will give his endorsement and the 26(?) delegates that he already scooped up. If that "50 Superdelegates in waiting" story is true, that combined with Edwards' pledged would be over 70 delegates added to the gap before Pennsylvania even votes.

Concede? Be serious. He's winning.

I like Richardson too, but that's a cop-out. Richardson is just really bad at politics. Like someone said above when at a debate he said that being gay was a choice. There was a list on Slate of all his messups, and the amount of major gaffes he had was unbelievable. Besides, he's Hispanic, and Edwards is white, and Edwards still did better than him, if we're going to pull the affirmative action card.

I would like to see Dennis Kucinich as VP, simply because his health care plan makes the most sense in my opinion. Alas, we'll get someone like Joe Biden.

That statement about Floridians is also true about Texans. Having said that, I wish Ann Richards was still alive.

HAHA! You expect the media to do WHAT? Cover real news? No no no, no way they would do that when they have tapes of Obamas former pastor to play 24/7 on a loop, stopping only momentarily to heap scorn upon him.

Geraldine Ferraro has been standing on street corners calling Obama a attractive and successful African-American all god damn week and the media won't even utter up one cough of indignation. But Obama's former pastor releases some tapes of his sermons talking about his own personal crazy theories on stuff and it's AN OUTRAGE. HOW DARE OBAMAS PASTOR NOT BE JESUS HIMSELF.

Nobody seems to give a shiat that jerry falwell said the same thing, and mccain looooooooooooooooved that guy.

I wouldn't expect the media to do anything but shiat all over the nice guy in order to drive up ratings.

FTA:
Obama leads among delegates selected at primaries and caucuses but with national public opinion polling showing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton pulling ahead of him amid controversy over statements by his former pastor

I thought it was already shown he wasn't even in church the day those statements were made, AND he has already distanced himself from the remarks his pastor made.

That'd put a nail in any sort of 'not experienced' concepts being leveled at the Dem ticket in the General Election.

OBAMA/RICHARDSON 08

Flying Lasagna Monster 2008-03-21 05:12:26 AM
Richardson was a moron as a presidential candidate. He publicly suggested diverting water from the Great Lakes to help out water-deprived southwestern states like New Mexico. First of all, moving all that water several thousand miles, not to mention uphill, is technically unfeasible. Secondly, to piss off all the swing states that border the great lakes (MN, WI, MI, OH, PA) isn't exactly that bright. When one also considers all his other gaffes (being gay is a choice, his favorite supreme court justice opposed abortion rights, etc) he was a horrible candidate.

tooeasy 2008-03-21 05:22:54 AM
I like Richardson, and I'd love to see him on the ticket. It's the smart move. Tessio was always smarter.
