The GF is taking me to my first Buffett show this summer -- what can I expect?

For the record, I plan on drinking enough rum to paralyze a team of Sherpas.

The St. Louis show sold out in 15 minutes. 10 minutes after that, Ebay and some of the online brokers had hundreds of pairs of tickets for sale.

For twice the price I'm sure. As a lover of live music, this sort of practice sickens me.

I've never seen so many young, drunk, and easy girls as at the one and only Buffet concert I've been to (DMB comes in a close second). Too bad Riverbend is the worst outdoor venue I've ever been to. Man, that place sucks...bad. Not that it matters. It's a drunken jailbait orgy, not a concert.

Most boring concert I've ever been to. Practically fell asleep during the show. Would have it it wasn't for my girlfriend wanting to consume mass quantities of alcohol. I had no problem getting the drinks for her as the concession line was way more entertaining.

That's a good start.Learn some lyrics, maybe congo line, and get a funny hat and wear flip-flops, sunglasses and swimming trunks.

Based on the information you gave, you can expect a pretty nasty hangover and a few blurry memories involving a small, blue plastic building.

Seriously, though, the show itself is going to depend on how you feel about his music. If you don't know anything beyond "Margaritaville" and "Five O'Clock Somewhere," you might be disappointed. The guy is a balladeer. He's not much for pyrotechnics or virtuoso guitar solos. He tells stories in his songs.

The draw, of course, is the pre-show tailgate party. That 1.75 of Captain Morgan you were planning on downing, best that you use that to barter for other rations. Don't worry, Tenzing, you'll still wake up in convulsions and your girlfriend might not talk to you for a couple weeks, but at least you'll have made a ton of generous friends you won't remember until you do it again next time through.

Listen, I will admit to not liking Jimmy Buffet, but to call him a great musician is an insult to actual great musicians. Is Jimmy a good song writer and performer? Perhaps. That is personal opinion. But he can barley play guitar.

And I am not just sure about this, I am HIV positive.

THIS. And Ive listened to him on and off since the release of
"A White Sportcoat and a Pink Crustacaen".

The guy is a hack and his concerts only started to turn into these bizarre displays of drunken frat-boy ALUMS after Springsteen took off.

Morons in parrots hats, sun glasses and flip-flops ACTING at having the best of their lives?
