TehNacho: Dinki: Wow submitting this stuff 50 times really did it Submittard- I'm now convinced that Obama having a minister that is a little wacky makes him unfit for the presidency. Thanks for showing me the light.

I personally think this is the first sign that people are "worried" that he will become president.

I dunno.

I am worried about people saying "ZOMFG YOU HAVE TO VOTE FOR HIM HE'S BLACK AND IT'S HIS TURN!!! YOU'RE RACIST!!!"

Then there are the people "ZOMFG HILLARY HAS A VAGINA SHE HAS A VAGINA AND IT'S HER TURN!!! YOU'RE SEXIST!!!"

Then there are people who will not vote for either, solely because they are black or a woman.

fark, I'm starting to think we deserve whatever we get.

Eh, this is normal pre-convention trash. There has been extreme mud throwing ever since Ooog defeated Uug for lead mammoth hunter. Of course, that was actual mud.

How dare Obama hide that fact in a book he wrote about himself! What's he got to hide by being so open about his life?

he seems spot on with a bunch of that stuff...

Granted, I'm not sure about the profanity and overly white/black stuff seems out of place, but a bunch of that other stuff makes sense.

HeadbangerSmurf [TotalFark] 2008-03-16 02:52:55 PM
As far as I'm concerned, Obama could come out with the "Where teh white women at?!" platform and I'd still vote for him. I'm going to vote for him no matter what happens. Matter of fact, I'll vote for him even if he isn't on the ballot.

Now, was there anything else you want to post?

No, I mean I'd like for a right-wing apologist to explain the problem.

FTFA: "Young African-American men," Wright thundered, were "dying for nothing." The "illegal war," he shouted, was "based on Bush's lies" and is being "fought for oil money."

In a sermon filled with profanity, Wright also blamed the war on "Bush administration bulls--t."

And?

This is starting to feel like Ron Paul newsletters now...

Oh, and can someone explain this to me:

Ron Paul went on the Alex Jones show around 40 times and people really gave it a lot of shiat over that.

Why is Obama getting a free pass from these same people when Obama went to see that pastor every week, considered it a mentor, etc..?

GAT_00: I agree with most of that, except where he blames the US for 9/11. That's just idiotic. The rest I understand and don't see anything wrong.

Ron Paul also blames us. I think there's a fine line between saying "our policies led to 9/11 being high likely" and saying "we are to blame". The former is perfectly valid, but the public and the media always interprets it as the latter.

Because last time I checked, McCain was a flip-flopping douche that will continue the sort of country Bush has been running for the last 8 years.

i get a little bit weary on saying the government created aids. unless he meant that by ignoring the problem, the government created the aids epidemic through sin of omission, as it were... in that case, i'd agree whole-heartedly.

i think some of his opinions on the matter were a little bit stronger than i have, and go a little farther, but i don't disagree with the basic gist of what he said.

and hell, why are we so afraid to say "god damn america?" i say "god damn" before a lot of things. i've god damned my own mother a time or two.

"Wright on the disappearance of Natalee Holloway: "Black women are being raped daily in Africa. One white girl from Alabama gets drunk at a graduation trip to Aruba, goes off and gives it up while in a foreign country and that stays in the news for months."

Then why aren't you doing something to help Africans, you cock smoking tool?

"Wright on 9/11: "White America got their wake-up call after 9/11. White America and the Western world came to realize people of color had not gone away, faded in the woodwork, or just disappeared as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns." On the Sunday after the attacks, Dr. Wright blamed America."

Why don't you police your own god damned community before criticizing others? The black community has some serious issues they need to deal with before blaming others for their problems.

"...where white folks' greed runs a world in need, apartheid in one hemisphere, apathy in another hemisphere...That's the world! On which hope sits!"

White folks are you're only hope of getting in the White House, Obama.

I cannot believe I ever considered voting for this asshole. And for everyone that agrees with everything Wright said, please feel free to piss off(yeah, I agree that Bush is a dick and the war in Iraq is over oil, but it isn't just blacks who are dying). It's people like you who make me despise the Ultra-Left. You're no better than the retards who gobble up all the BS the Klan and other white supremacy groups spew out about how all of our ills are caused by non-whites.

Rarely do I ever get pissed off and post stuff like this, but you people are more bigoted than the your political "enemies".

Andrew Sullivan just made a very good blog post about this:

Link (new window)

"We have many, many, many examples of Obama's own thoughts on these issues, several extraordinary sermons and speeches, two books, one of which is searingly honest about race and faith and identity. The notion that this immense record should be displaced by a few YouTubes by someone else seems, well, disproportionate."

What makes you think he isn't? I thought one of the early criticism of this church was that they help Africa too much, and not America...?
