Judge Vincent Signorile, 48, stepped down from the bench, avoiding being charged with a crime.

I'm sorry, but how does that work? It's only illegal until you quit?

At least they're increasing my taxes for a good cause.

Widows and children, and all that.

I have no problem with judges fixing tickets.

"...highly regarded as a fine and ethical attorney" is enough irony for one day for me, thanks.

/sounds like a noxy moron.

TFA: Jersey City, New Jersey [...] Vincent Signorile [...] "highly regarded as fine and ethical"

Yeah, there's nothing about this case at all that reeks of the Mafia.

Tough to find them when they aren't wearing the robe.

It's hard to spot Judge Judy on the street, looks like every other guy.

Cue the "not ironic" comments.

NJ is indistinguishable from Sicily from a corruption POV.

I mean this literally, NJ is largely run by and for criminals. One only need be minimally observant to notice the stranglehold the mob has on that state.

I think I know where a former NY lawyer and IMPECCABLE attorney general (although very peccable governor) may be headed.

I don't know. Maybe, all of them?

Business as usual in the Garden State.

Move along, nothing to see here.

Yo Vinny, you gonna fix my parking ticket or what?

in NJ, most of them.

I was gonna point out Vinny's name and make a comment about the mob, but you guys beat me to it - as I knew you would.

Still looking for a pic of Tony Soprano approving...

Also note that in NJ you can't walk 6 blocks without crossing into the next town, each with its own grossly overpaid mayor, council, school board, police dept, public works etc.

This is why the state is beyond broke despite having the highest taxes in the country. You'd be hard pressed to find a politician admitting that though. None are interested in eliminating redundancy as that would mean risking their own cushy positions.

I'm a $100,000 New Jersey state government paycheck, so I'm really getting a kick out of these comments.

do you wanna hear the one about my ex gf who was charged with a DUI even though she blew a 0.00 on the breathlyzer?

yep hudson county.

that case eventually got thrown out, but not until after $4K in lawyer and other attorney fees

was of course after the cops made racist comments to her

and of course, after a minimum of work (google: http://dockets.justia.com/docket/court-njdce/case_no-2:2007cv04817/case_id-20717 0/), look what i was able to turn up on the 2 cops who arrested her.. nice civil rights case against them for other racist comments!

go hudson county!!

no hudson county you have not heard the end of this case! thrown our or not we're coming after you for the money your corrupt cops forced us to spend! lucky (smart) me, i happened to be on the phone when your corrupt cops arrested her and I recorded the convo!

You are coming off as crazy.

However, your case may well be meritorious. In all seriousness, best of luck to you.

Reminds me of the time back in the '80s, when after a horribly dirty (even by Jersey City standards) mayoral campaign, the incumbent, who was corrupt and Irish, lost to an Italian whose IQ didn't surpass room temperature.

The outgoing mayor decided to leave a present for his successor and took a large dump in the top drawer of the mayor's desk.

Just remember, there's only 2 real crime families in NJ, they're called the Democrats & the Republicans.
