They didn't have those at my school. When the pandemic hit in the 90's the president had his own cooties to deal with and couldn't be there for us on the playground. Children were dropping left and right with fits of the giggles after a boy and girl held hands. It was a massacre, but did the government step in and help us? No. I'll always remember the looks on my classmates faces. The rosy cheeks, swollen unnaturally with baby fat, some of them missing teeth. They were too young for the things that happened to them. I barely made it out alive.
