He's not lazy... he's just got a lot of stuff to do... like abolish democracy and shoot his friends in the face.

Cheney is busy. He's looking for the real killer.

Cheney. The greatest since Noel.

Well the Secret service ain't exactly got a stellar track record in the greater Denver metro area when it comes to respecting free speech (look up "the Denver 3" if you have no idea what I'm talking about).

The problem with our "security uber alles" approach to protecting our leaders is, that just like the "classification culture" of our defense and intelligence services, It places the rights of we the people dead last on its list of priorities.

This.

It's pretty scary to realize that you basically can't even hold up a sign that the President can see any more, much less shout at the guy walking down the street. From the perspective of history, these are the trappings of bad kings and dictators, not highest among equal leaders of democracies.

The part I find most despicable in all of this?

WTF is a Federal Judge (Magistrat) doing shielding the testimony of public servants to help them avoid embarassment? How the hell is that outweighing the public's right to know what their employees are doing during the fulfillment of their job? Their testimony should be public and I would hope that the media does their job here and demand that the order be lifted under the FOIA. Unless their testimony reveals "classified" information I cannot fathom any real justification for keeping it secreted away from the public. So, some people get embarassed, tough luck. I think it far more important that we get to judge when public employees are lying and hold them accountable. This isn't the USSR and these people work for us, as does the judge, when they are performing their jobly duties, we have the right to know just about everything about their performance.

"no state shall... deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

EPIC FAIL

Dick Cheney and the Secret Service are traitors to the Constitution.

Why get so up in arms over some guy telling Cheney off?

Wasn't he himself saying he wasn't important a few days ago?

For a country filled with gutsy folk, taking back your rights seems awfully hard for you. This asswipe has made monkeys out of you all for so many years, and here he is again, spitting in your face.

Well, at least it ain't buckshot.

The Secret Service has always been one of the most respect for. They've always been very professional about their job. And even now, there is enough integrity in the agency to keep anything like this from being buried despite a few agents trying to do whatever they think is best to advance their career.

/Secret Service and Diplomatic Security have always seemed like the most respectable agencies to me

TMBGfreak 2008-03-13 06:57:59 PM
That first sentence is missing "agencies I have"

I can't figure out which is worse, the 28% that continue to support this administration, or their belief that they are true patriots compared to those awful, awful liberals.

This guy should be happy he didnt have the honor of getting blasted in the face by Mr. Above the Law himself, Cheney....

This sounds like one of those stories where everyone involved is an ass. The secret service agents, the deputy, his boss, the DA, the OVP, the kid.

Not the guy who told him off, though. He = HERO. Cheney's approval rating is a pure measure of the evil % in this country.

Anyone who doesn't love VP Cheney and want his salty manseed shot in their face is a truthtard that needs to take off their tinfoil hat and take their crazy pills.

/Leave Dick Alone!

I am so glad to see that the United States hasn't abandoned any of its basic freedoms in favor of a totalitarian regime hiding behind what is now a faux democracy.

Yes, this guy and his "dissent" are soooo scary. Surely he will be sent to Gitmo any day now.

nothing at all to do with being lazy.. its just far to dangerous to allow Cheney to be deposed, he can never be allowed to testify under oath, other wise he might betray himself ala clinton. they are evil, not lazy or stupid. although they dont mind people thinking either of those things about them. it helps muddy the waters of their kleptocracy.

the secret service agent who blew the whistle is in guam now. coincidence?
