Happy birthday to the king of bland lyrics.

/ Walking man walks.
// Walking man walks on by.
/// Many other man stops and talks.
//// But the walking man walks.

I met JT at a hotel I worked at about 8 years ago. He was one of the best guests I had the pleasure of serving. Every time he saw me he asked how I was doing, by name. I think he was the only person who did that, save for the cute girls.

He should never have been allowed to live this long.

I would have picked Steamroller

I too would have picked Steamroller, or Sweet Baby James, or October Road, or... well lots of others.

He's an awesome singer and great to see if you're on a date with a lovely young woman.

Happy birthday to one of my all time favorites.
Love ya, James!

/JT bores the crap out of my husband.

It's funny, you watch "Two Lane Blacktop" and it makes you think James Taylor had a pair of testicles, then you listen to his music and it makes you think not so much.

Bah.

Leave the blues to the bluesmen, he's better when he sticks to his own genre.

I'll fire up your best of album in your honor.

mypalmike Happy birthday to the king of bland lyrics.

Are you kidding? Have you heard Junkie's Lament? Millworker? Fire and Rain? etc. etc. etc.

He's one of the most nuanced songwriters ever, without crossing over into that pretentious 'goofy bullshiat that sounds artsy' zone.

I almost cried.
