Worthy is debatable but influential? Madonna was one of the three big names of the 80s, along with Prince and Michael Jackson, she's pretty influential. The thing should be a music hall of fame instead of just rock n' roll, since blues and jazz and pop artists have been inducted.

Thats what you get from living in London. English people swear like they get paid for it. Hell, it's even got a historical aspect to it, the French used to call the English "Goddamns" during the 100 year war, due to how often they used the word. For me, living in London is good fun. No other place in the world can you sit in a board meeting and say "The goddamn thing is shiat. It's been farked from the day we bought it from that goddamn bastard of a supplier" and watch all my English colleagues nod in agreement, and all my American ones look like they're going to pass out. just to clarify, what i was trying to say was that it doesnt matter to me if someone's in the hall or not, but if you become as undeniably famous as madonna is and has been for 25 years, thats good enough for me for inclusion. under any other circumstances i would care more about merit and talent than fame, but its a hall of fame. induct whomever you want, just as long as theyre famous. so, yeah, i find it pretty tiring too when people get all huffy about who dare taint their precious hall.
