Errk - Their version of "Pappa Was a Rollin' Stone" is great..

Yup. Their 2nd CD was best, IMHO.

Another one of those "bands" that's really 2 great producers/musicians just farking around. "Spy in the House of Love" was kinda goofy in the late 80s, (like "Dinosaur") but I could see talent, even back then.

This reunion idea has me knocked down, made small.

The black guys were singing backup for Lyle Lovett on one of his recent tours.

"hello operator... i mean dad... i mean police, i can't even remember who i am" is a stone cold classic.

sweet pea atkinson is crazy, but in a musically fantastic sort of way.

What Up Dog is one of the five greatest commercial rock albums of the 80s.

The other four:
Welcome to the Pleasuredome
Pyromania
Hunting High and Low
Lexicon of Love

I'm gonna run straight to the bowling alley and tell Shadow and Jimmy.

Concur, What Up Dog *rocked!* I especially like the cacophonic "Earth to Doris."

Saw them a couple years ago in San Francisco. Good show.

I saw them open for Dire Straits in '92 (I think). I was in Germany staying with a friend and his dad was a huge Dire Straits fan. He had bought tickets for all of us to go, and he asked if I knew this band, "Was Not Was? War Nicht War, ja?"

Great show. I was most impressed with the guy that played two trumpets at the same time.
